Hello All,
Now, please keep in mind that I haven't read this book yet, but it came across my desk earlier last week. I did a double take, after only reading the title and not the "as told to Percival Everett & James Kincaid". After I recovered, I thought, is this some son of a b's idea of a joke...and it very well could be. I've only read the blurb page title "More Raves (proposed) for Strom's History:" and the disclaimer.
More Raves (proposed) for Strom's History:
"I think this book is stunning. I knew Strom and I didn't know he had this in him." -- Abe Lincoln
"In all my days, there has been nothing like it, which is good." -- William Howard Taft

Naturally, and most importantly legally, the book has a disclaimer. I think it's only fair that I post it as well so that nobody starts tripping and filing lawsuits and stuff: "The authors wish to make clear to the reader that this is a work of fiction (i.e., none of it is true). Though there are many references to actual people, all of our interactions with those people (and the fictitious ones as well) are, in fact, fictitious. This includes all of the characters and events in the novel involving the Simon & Schuster publishing company. If any of the matter of this novel should be found offensive by anyone, we understand (if not completely) and suggest you find another book to read. We wish we could say that we mean no disrespect."
