Since other forms of entertainment such as movie and video games have ratings, do you think books should have them as well? Maybe an "X" for explicit sexual content or a "G" for general audiences.

Don't they already do that (have "Adults Only") on the covers and aren't they stocked in "You Must be 18 to Look at Books in this Section" sections?

Good question, Emmanuel. I never thought about books having ratings. But now that you mention it, perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea. I have definitely come across what, to me, is objectionable content in books, and so I use the library a lot more than I used to (that way, if I take umbrage at something the author writes, at least I haven't paid to be offended--ha ha). Of course, rating books begs the question of who, exactly, will determine what is "G" rated and what is "X" rated? Sigh.
