I'd really like to read like to read some African American literature of the 1980s that contains references to the negative effects of American society through representations of disturbing sex. This is as part of a dissertation I'm planning but haven't read that much in this period and was wondering if anyone could suggest anything,a non african american writer who think is interesting in this respect is norman mailer,
thank you,
tom edmonds
