Thanks to everyone who helped me make my '80s slow jam CD. The final cut has been made. Yes I included some Prince, MJ, Whitney, and Luther. How could I not? And yes EVERY jam is not from the '80s. So here is my final cut. Let me know what you think:

Sorry, Emanuel. On a scale of 1 to 10. I only give your final cut a 7. I will take into consideration that this was a personal statement on your part, but it's like you went out of your way to give props to lesser known songs for no other reason than that they are lesser known. Why you would take "Tonight I Give Into The Music" by Angela Bofill instead of "I Try" by her, I don't know... |

LOL! That NWA album was my jam but you know I'm only looking for the slow jams.
I forgot to include

I guess I didn't include any Michael Jackson after all. His slow jams were kinda like first date romance stuff not really slow grinding stuff.

Well, Emanuel, compiling "the best of" lists is not a territory I venture into. I have acknowledged that you are entitled to indulge your personal preferences and all I would further add is that I would not list 2 similar songs by one artist or group as you did and then omit other artists who are noted for their slow jams. No Aretha? No Lionel Richie?
"International Lover" by Prince instead of "Do Me"? "Come Go with Me" by Teddy Pendergrast instead of "Turn out The lights?" No way.
I don't think you stretched out enough but - no accounting for taste, is there?  |
