(Kick-ass choice imo)

(Reuters) - Sen. Hillary Clinton, who lost to Barack Obama in the Democratic presidential primary, is being considered to serve as secretary of state in the Obama administration, NBC News reported on Thursday.

Hello,

I agree! I'm hoping that this is true and that HRC accepts!

Well, maybe I should be popping my collar since I said way-back-when that HRC would surely be a candidate for Secretary of State should Obama become POTUS.

I hope it is Obama's decision though, and not something put together by an overzealous Hillary-backing reporter who's looking out for the candidate's best interest and nothing more. I would not put it past some in the media, at all.

I would actually prefer that Gov. Bill Richardson be appointed Obama's Secretary of State.

But, I guess, Hillary will do.

Tonight on Nightly News they showed Obama talking to HRC AND John McCain. And the report said that Obama may be considering him for a top spot as well.

HRC and McCain together are a bit scary to me. They have made it no secret they are very good friends and I'm concerned that Bill, HRC, and McCain could eventually work against Obama and undermine his agenda should things not go the way they would like.

It kills me all these people coming out of the woodwork talking about her "vast experience" in foreign affairs. She has little to none.

I know what Obama is thinking. He can nuetralize his mortal enemies by bringing them into the cabinet.

They will probably not accept since their plan is to destroy Obama and retake the Presidency in 2012.

But anyways,HillBilly as Secretary of State would be a mistake

There would be a bruising confirmation battle which Obama does not need--primarily centered on who Bill Clinton's donors are to that foundation he has.

Additionally Obama would have no control over his foreign policy. The Hillbillies are not team players.

Bill Richardson would do better at Commerce or Health Education and Welfare.

Obama needs a Kissinger. He needs someone who can mediate the Arab Isreali conflict, deal with a Muslim World Aflame from the Mediterranean to the Pacific, a resurgent and angry Russia and the challenge posed by India, China, Brazil and a restive European Union. I don't know of any.

Condoleeza Rice would have made a decent one had she not been totally tainted by her connections with the Bushites.

Chris, check this, it's Secretary Of State NOT the President!

Why doesn't Obama need a tough confirmation battle? That's the least of his worrys.

If you like with that treacherious aggressive zionist Henry Kissinger, you should love someone like Hillary Clinton who you have such a low opinion of, chrishayden. One thing is certain. YOU would make a horrible presidential advisor. You are too much of an irrational hater to think objectively.

Chris, check this, it's Secretary Of State NOT the President!

(You won't be able to tell HillBilly that. Their goal is Hillary in the seat he occupies, and their defeat and humiliation will only solidfy that determination.

He, unlike the average Negro who survives by appearing weak, cannot afford to look like he is not in control of his White House.

He won't be able to tell the Clintons jack. And if he can, they will do everything to make him look like a fool.

If he can stand it, I can)

Why doesn't Obama need a tough confirmation battle? That's the least of his worrys.

(Because he just got in. Because he is weak. Because his own party is divided behind him. Because a good part of the country will NEVER accep him.

You are old enough to remember history.

Remember when Bill Clinton suggested he might let gays in the military? Remember how he got attacked? That and the Hillary Health care debacle and he never stopped running for cover.

If you like with that treacherious aggressive zionist Henry Kissinger, you should love someone like Hillary Clinton who you have such a low opinion of, chrishayden.

(He was perfectly willing to sell the Israelis and anybody else down the river while he was Secretary of State--also, he was a competent, career diplomat, not a spoiled angry harpy)

Yes, and that's why when Kissinger's name came up as a possible replacement for Rumsfield as Secretary of Defense, the whole diplomatic community recoiled in horror at the thought of him being appointed to this job.

The criticism of him degenerated into ridicule and Kissinger was so humiliated that he took himself out of the race.

Chris, this demands repeating. It's Secretary Of State, NOT president.

Let's talk facts, please. Your statements about Sen. Clinton appears to be rooted in your dislike of her. Nothing you've shared is based on truth; it's your opinion which is obviously distorted.

It's glaringly obvious...well, you wrote: "He, unlike the average Negro who survives by appearing weak, cannot afford to look like he is not in control of his White House".

Chris, Let's take a look at that. Are you the average Negro? Are you surviving by looking weak?

You also wrote this foolishness: (Because he just got in. Because he is weak. Because his own party is divided behind him. Because a good part of the country will NEVER accep him).

Come on Chris, Did you wish to say he "appears" to be weak to YOU.

What part of the country will NEVER accept him? If we are to believe that statement, what difference does that make and can they be moved?

Give us something to work with. Get off that hatebox.
