We're all the time on here trying to talk about bad examples and bad behaviors and Brett is of the Caucasian persuasion but excuse me, I think all this is a bad example for the youth.

Maybe I'll retire. Maybe I'll come back. Maybe I'll play for the Packers. Maybe I want to be traded.

Pee or get off the Pot, Gertrude!

Well, they certainly don't have anyone that can easily replace him. Being indecisive at this point (they're already getting their training under way for the up coming season), I'd say he's going for it. If you were that determined not to play anymore, what is there to be undecided about? OK....You win Chris....Poop or get offa da pot. It's that simple.....for us.

Hello Fellas

I was in Dallas a few weeks ago. There was a article written about him because Dallas was one of the places mentioned in his desire to leave.

They beat that boy DOWN. Truth be told Brett has been done. He leads several negative categories. His interception ratio is ugly. Pro Sports is a business, The Temptations used to be.....

Sure the organization owes him something but they also owe their investors. The will continue to pack the seats....there in Green Bay. Quick, what's the capital of Wisconson?

Just like Chris said, I think he needs to get in the "Thinker" position and let it go.

One issue is: They, the organization, will be unable to develop any youth at that position as long as he is there. This is the delimna that organizations face whenever dealing with a aging "superstar". The reality of his diminishing talent is clouded with the memories of his youthful successes, therby making it difficult athelete/fans to let go. Any young quarterback will always have him lurking in the background and, given the usual temperment of fans, the first sight of failure (a necessary evil of growth) fans will quickly turn to bring in Brett.

On the flip side; being famous, almost worshiped, brings an addiction that must be as strong as "crack" (speaking from observation, not experience). One's sense of "self" becomes totally immersed in the role that you play, welcoming demons that are tough to evict.

Carey, this kinda ties in with the whole "ego debate" that we were having on the other discussion board surrounding why we read/ why we write question you posed.

Do you really think they "owe him something" or has he been fairly compensated by them; given what he does for a living?

Yeah, in fairness to Fav-ray--the kind of guy who does what he has done don't usually know when to walk away.

They need to get beat down. Humilliated. Trashed.

Unfortunately, he ain't the only one who suffers--but his whole team.

I guess that type of guy don't care too much about the team, either.
