Rev Wright said the U.S. government "invented AIDS" as a means of genocide. When HIV/AIDS was first discovered it was called the "white gay disease" because gay men were diagnosed. It was later that African Americans began showing up with AIDS, usually because of, blood transfusions, needle sharing and unprotected sex.
Also, please tell me what chapter and verse in the Bible it says "God damn America"?

Yep...cuz the media said it was. People don’t think for themselves anymore. The media own them. And I'm not the type to believe in mind control theories and the like but this here is real. I’m about to read me some Norm Chomsky in a minute, the shit is crazy.

Jeremiah Wright's failing is that he wants to politicize religion. He takes advantage of his captive audience by using the pulpit as a soap box. People who go to church are presumably seeking spitual guidance, not demagoguery.
I've seen this man in person and the most striking thing about him are his intense blue eyes. He could, in fact, pass for white. He has a very checkered resume, albeit an impressive one, yet I heard that he does, indeed, have a mercurial personality.
A few years ago, after listening to his inflammatory speech at a banquet celebrating MLK's birthday, my second thought was that he was a man who over compensated for his appearance lest he be judged as not being black enough; my first thought was how uncomfortable his ranting seemed to make the white people in the audience, most of whom were seated at tables brought up by corporate sponsors who patronized this event.
Considering the damage Wright's race-baiting has done to the candidacy of a black man running for president, I'm amost inclined to label him a blue-eyed devil. |

What would black folks do if they couldn't blame everything on racism and the media? It is a form of mind-control to believe that all of our troubles stem from racism, and that the media brainwashes us. These are just easy scapegoats to inhibit independent thinking.
I'm always leery of people Noam Chomsky who tell others what to think because he is certain that, unlike them, he can't be fooled. This is the height of arrogance. |

And soooooooooo many people believe the media hype, it's a shame. IMO, the media are the ones who are actually dragging the Democratic race out so long just for the ratings.

Of course there is racism, chrishayden, only it isn't the blame for all of black ills. But you wouldn't know this to listen to some people. |
