Clinton leads city's St. Patrick's Day Parade

Sen. Hillary Clinton led the march in the Pittsburgh St. Patrick's Day Parade today with Gov. Ed Rendell, County Executive Dan Onorato and Mayor Luke Ravenstahl at her side.
City of Pittsburgh police estimated the crowd lining the route to be well over 260,000. Pittsburgh's St. Patrick's Day Parade is the country's second-largest, behind New York's, planners said.
Clinton received a warm welcome as she walked along the one mile route that was sprinkled with supporters holding green signs for both Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama.
One of those on Clinton's side is Bob McKay, who said he's backing Clinton in part because he wants both Clintons -- she and former president Bill Clinton -- back in the White House.
"It's two for the price of one," said McKay, 54, of Monaca, Beaver County. He used to support former Sen. John Edwards, who dropped out of the race in February, and he'd still like to see Edwards on the presidential ticket, but he doesn't think that's likely. In lieu of Edwards, "I hope she picks (Obama) as her running mate."
Clinton spontaneously stopped and shook hands several times along the way even making an unscheduled stop at the reviewing stand at the end of the parade saying, "Thank you, Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. This is a great parade. May the luck of the Irish be with us all. God bless you."
Clinton is campaigning in Scranton this afternoon, then will leave for Albany, N.Y.
Obama has planned a town hall meeting Monday at the Community College of Beaver County.
