Barack was arrogant and utterly wrong when he made this statement:

"I have no doubt that once the nomination contest is over, I will get the people who voted for her. Now the question is can she get the people who voted for me?"

That's more than wishful thinking, it's bullshit.

If Barack gets the nomination and not Hillary, I'm not voting in November.

If Hillary gets strong-armed into choosing Barack as a running mate, I‘m not voting in November.

I'd consider both situations a rip-off...

...which might convince me to vote against the party, if McCain’s still in it come November.

If Hillary doesn't win the nomination, I think this will be a wake up call for her. She'll have no choice but to fall back and regroup and realize that whatever she was doing didn't work, and that it's time to temper her rampant ambition. If she hasn't sacrificed all of her feminity in the quest for power, maybe she will develop the power of introspection and mellow out, becoming a better wiser person in the process, - becoming a more appealing candidate for the next run.

And I agree that Barak is overly-optimistic if he thinks all of the white independents and middle-aged women will automatically switch their vote to him. To me, Barak isn't quite done yet. He needs to cook a little longer. But there's no way I will vote for a Republican. So I will participate in history and proudly vote for a black man if he is the Democratic standard bearer.

Will black voters boycott Hillary en masse? Who knows. I wonder if they will vote for McCain, an old white man who wants a gradual pull-out from Iraq and has a history of heart problems. He sounds like Dick Chaney lite. Or do I see them warming up to that uctuous Mitt Romney. We shall see. We shall see.

You seriously gonna vote republican? Obama isn't making a statement that's any more bold than any other politician out there. We won't even talk about the Clintons and the shit they've said/done. You go right ahead.

Remember when the hispanic population voted republican because they were pissed over the Elian Gonzalez thing? What happened to them? They got s c r e w e d.

Tonya --

If Hillary wins the Democratic nomination, she'll be crushed by the Republicans.

Hang in there, Tonya. You're entitled to back any candidate who you relate to. That's why elections are held in a democracy.

I think more Black dems will not vote at all before voting republican but the outcome will be the same.

I'd find it hard to vote for HRC myself but . . . we'll see. And I think Nels is right - some of those republicans really HATE the Clintons.
