Hey y'all this is a really good event. I attened in 2006 and was very impressed. There were book club participants from all over the country. In a lot of ways it reminded me of a gigantic family reunion.
All book clubs with 5 or more people registering get a $50 dollar discount. I just registered under AALBC.com. If you are interested in attending please sign up under our book club (AALBC.com) so that we qualify for the discount.

With registration, book lovers receive: admission to all NBCC “book club meetings,” signings and panel discussions; breakfast, lunch and martinis at the reception on Friday, Aug. 1, 2008; lunch and dinner at the awards banquet on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008. Gift bag with three complimentary books, NBCC t-shirt, souvenir program, bookmarks, highlighters, magnets, etc.
Registration is $285 per person; $235 per person with book clubs of five or more registering.
