Of course Maya is trying to be inclusive but it sounds like she's saying that Hillary's candidacy and presidency is an inspiration to Black women as well. And I agree!

It's interesting to hear of others' perspectives.especially those whom we have admiration for....but best to do the homework.

Google in ...(name of candidate) voting records.... Study.
And keep an eye out on them. My trust in politicians and the system has been gone for a long long time...

Mine too, Canary. The presidency is an office that involves "on-the-job-training". So it's not all about preferring a veteran who has previous administrative experience, or a visionary with a clean slate. IMO, it's about whether the electee will make "the office, or the office will make the electee".

A presidential campaign is just an exercise in hype. How a president turns out is where a person's core personality comes in. When it comes to Hillary and Barak, she has endured a lot of personal adversity, whereas he has sustained a rather charmed life. Hillary is inured in traditional white middleclass roots, whereas Barak has led a scattered, sometimes free-spirited existence. People hate her, and love him. These reactions to them, along with their lifestyles and genes have shaped who they've turned out to be, and who they've turned out to be will determine whether they've got the innate fortitude to successfully carry out their duties, - whether the fire of the presidency will harden steel or melt wax.

So to me, who the best person for the leader of America is, remains to be seen. There is a difference between being a presidential candidate and being the president. Forget all of the superficialities because what we see may not be what we get. Lucking up on a good presdient is about all we can hope for.

(He'll be too busy with his six 14 year old wives, or trying to prove he's not a space alien)
