Let’s see:
She’s hard working
She’s intelligent
She’s articulate
She’s ambitious
She’s loyal
She has poise
She appears to be healthy
She takes advantage of opportunities
And I don’t want to hear anything about her sucking up to GWB – she’s his EMPLOYEE and that’s what employee’s do. They suck it up and get paid. For all we know she may be bankrolling our next revolution on the sly!

Good question, Crystal. IMO, Condi is certainly an excellent role model when it comes to achieving success through focus and dilligence. And you are right in dismissing the political implications of her success. She was given a job description and she excelled at carrying out her duties, learning how to wield power in the process. I also agree that she's probably flexible enough to switch sides and bring all of her expertise to the black struggle. All she needs to is a sexy black stud to show her the error of her ways, - and the promise of being in the hierarchy once the revolution erupts. LOL |

Crystal, to me it is all about choices. Whether I agree with her (presumed) politics or not is a lesser issue than that she represents a possibility that previous generations of girls haven't seen. To me, that is progress.

She is a goddamned war criminal.
When a person with any kind of ethic, soul, what have you sees his or her boss doing wrong, he or she tells him and then, if the boss does not quit he or she resigns--like Colin Powell did belatedly.
War criminal--starting an agressive war under false pretenses is a war crime--they hung plenty of people at Nuremberg for what she and her gang has done.
Condeleeza Rice is a disgusting excuse for a human being. If I had a daughter who said she wanted to be like her I would feel it necessary for the human race to strangle her to death and throw her body on a garbage heap.

Oh give it a rest, chrishayden. Condoleeza Rice is not above redemption. She had good intentions that went astray. You and your stone-casting are a bit much. Your delusions of being without sin would make Dr King spin in his grave as much as anybody else. |

I don't buy the accusation that Condoleeza takes great pride in what has happened in Iraq or that her intent was to conquer a country and repress its population. |

I rarely agree with her political views; however, for many of the same reasons Cynique mentioned, I definitely consider her a role model for young girls, particularly Black/Biracial girls. |

We divested Condi of her current politics, chrishayden. Yvette got it right when she said Condi's ascendancy to the position of Secretary of State was a sign of progress and empowerment for women. You, as usual, are unable to focus on the big picture. There are after all millions of Republicans who look up to Condoleeza, not to mention the thousands of people who are under her jurisdiction. And you lack imagination if you think that, once out of office, Condi couldn't change and use her expertise for the good of black folks. |

I looked at that post, chrishayden, and it's a stretch to say that Condoleeza Rice is responsible for this carnage. She is not a dictator or a war monger or a general, she is a diplomat, - a member of a cabinet headed up by a dumb misguided president. |

she is just a "spoke in the wheel", so to speak.

she is simply trying to mantain her JOB (like we ALL are).
