Glad to hear she is ok but she will be missed. Although she and I were having some serious fist fights as of late, she did spice the board up. To be honest, if you review a number of posts from a while back, I was one of her supporters. But Mzuri had a bipolar temperament. I used to think highly of a number of her writings (although I felt she was somewhat excessive with the Kola thing and her personal attacks) and I openly said so until one day, out of the blue, she made a nasty remark about me. I was taken back and did not know what to say. So I said nothing. Then she did it again with no provocation or reason. That time I was miffed but I played it off. The third time she did it, well, you know, the rest is history. But regardless, she will be missed. I've reviewed a few of the archived posts in this forum (2005 and 2006) and there were some very lively and heated debates. There was also a much larger participation. But as of late, there has been a serious lull. I hope the board may one day return to those days. It was fun....IMO.

If Mzuri had been here, NTFS, that thread on the female orgasm would've certainly been more provocative. I was surprised that so few men, including you, declined to weigh in to agree or disagree with the author. Ditto with the Chrishayden warm and fuzzy thread. LOL
The only way for discussions on the board to return to being "lively and heated" is for lively posters to join in and contribute their heat.
I certainly wouldn't have a problem with Mzuri oor even Kola coming back to kick things up a notch. (And that's "kola" not Nafisa Goma, the insidious publicist.) And I really didn't have that big a problem with Igbogal because sometimes she would offer salient comments.
Maybe people don't want to register enough posts to reach the "cyniquian" level, a designation I, myself, view with a dubious eye. LOL. Sorry, Troy. |

Oh, I'm sure she would. I guess I missed the female orgasms thread. I'll recheck.

Neither do I. Although I did not see eye to eye on a number of issues with either, I still think their presence added spice and energy to the forum. Both could be very confrontational and provocative. Kola was good for the board because when she makes her appearances, the board does flourish with activity. Make no doubt about that.

Funny you should say that because even though she was obnoxious with her serial sex crazed posts, when she first came here, she sent this board into a complete tail spin. Even as polarizing as Kola or Mzuri could be at times, the Igbola Virus was the only poster (that I knew of of), who completely alienated herself. Everyone was taking turns swinging bats at her but it only seemed to drive her even more. She thrived on provoking people. I don't recall anyone who rallied to support her. If Igbola could have controlled her deliberate taunts and posts designed to inflame, she could have been an interesting valuable poster. But it was not to be.

I hear ya A_womon. It was fun and although I did not personally participate in a number of the street brawls that have taken place on this site (especially those with Kola), it was entertaining. I will admit that. And to be honest, I remember one time you and Mzuri got into it. Up to that point, outside of Kola, I can't think of anyone who had advanced insults and bone crushing digs as Mzuri could. But I vividly recalled that time you and her went toe to toe. I was stunned because I never seen anyone back her down (she would never admit this). Damn! The two of you over turned every chair, table and knocked the pictures off the wall! Mzuri had finally bitten off more than she could chew! A pathetic as this sounds (and yes, it is pathetic -I said it) I didn't say a word in that reenactment of Pearl Harbor 1941, but I was cheering you on!! Dang! I can't believe I'm admitting this. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

ntfs I alway got the feeling kola was frustated by those brawls an wanted to handle hers in person an I dont think Mzuri could go there with kola. Hav eyou heard the rumors that kola slept with zane's husband years ago? thats been going around everywhere an even Jaime Foster brown has confirmed it so now I see why zane tried to down kola not to mentino she cant write anywhere near as good s kola either. |
