The Eulogy of Michael Vick's Career

By Brian Egeston
be@brianwrites.com

“…I'll share with you a comment I made to Michael and his agent over the summer. I think Michael kind of flinched when I said. 'You understand that the only way you'll leave Atlanta will be in a box.’”
-Atlanta Falcons Owner, Arthur Blank Dec. 2004

************************************

Here lies Michael Vick, a talented quarterback who possessed blazing speed.
Linebackers couldn’t touch him, but animal lovers brought him to his knees.

He split a pair of Vikings, en route to a game-winning touchdown.
Now all of the Vick’s sponsors have taken their billboards down.

People lined the streets of Virginia, to curse him and call him a jerk.
So many people protesting, I wondered if anybody went to work.

Platinum singer R. Kelly made an explicit child porn tape.
No one came to protest, when he arrived for his court date.

Ray Lewis came to Atlanta, saw and man stabbed and watched him bleed.
Lucky for Ray Lewis, the man stabbed was not wearing a leash.

Dog fighting is cruel, criminal, not to mention downright inhumane.
Sort of like leaving people to die after a category five hurricane.

Pookie and Ray-Ray turned state’s evidence, Vick thought it best to make a deal.
Lesson here: if your cousin’s a star, forget about kin, it’s best to squeal.

Vick’s no saint, with his water bottle allegedly containing the residue of grass.
But is cleaning dog feces with his jersey just a bit too crass?

It’s great that the media will not leave Michael Vick alone.
Now we’ve all but forgotten, the antics of Pac Man Jones.

The nation is once again polarized, divided into black and white.
Both clouded in their judgment of what’s considered fair and what is right.

Rest in peace Michael Vick, your career may be coming to a close.
Next time don’t kill the dogs, instead call them nappy-headed hoes.

I by no means support animal cruelty. But we got a negro (Leonard Little) who killed a woman ( a white woman to boot!) in a drunken driving incident and he is still wearing a Rams uniform.

I think we need to ask this:

Why is it white people get so excercised about animals and don't care about humans?

Underneath their fur animals have white skin. And dog's are faithful to their masters. No matter who you are or what you've done, animals are non judgmental. If Michael Vick had a dog as a pet, this dog would love him unconditionally as long as Vick kept him supplied in ALPO.
