Them people knew all along it was lead based paint. They didn't give a squat. All those dumb kids sucking on poison toys--a few get sick and pay 'em off.

It's hard to believe that a conglomerate like Mattel couldn't send some quality control inspectors over to China to ensure that operations were in compliance with U.S. laws. They're not going to be able to recover in time for the Christmas selling season (which starts in a couple of weeks) and it's going to be a ginormous mess when parents don't have anything under the tree this year.

Well, the sneaky Chinese manufacturer who was guilty of this dastardly deed supposedly had 2 factories; one for the benefit of inspectors and another one someplace else where it mass produced these lead-coated items which could cause irreversable brain damage to a whole generation of kids who lick their toys. And once these kids grow up and start running the country, China will make its move and America will be taken over by the yellow horde, and become the United States of Asia. The guy responsible for all of this duplicity supposedly took his own life, - probably by chewing the tip of his pencil. |

Well, whenever they decide to start making and exporting global consumer products like desktop computers, cars, digital equipment, television's, toys, computer chips, hard drives, mother boards, etc, etc..., I guess we'll never know. In the mean time, they will have to be satisfied with being totally dependent on foreign technology, medicine, financial aide, weapons, technical advisers, loans, etc..... End of subject............

Well, not saying this is the case for every single country A_womon, but for black Africa as a group of countries, well, for the most part, unfortunately -it is true.
But I'm more than willing to hear any information you to have suggest otherwise. If you can name me a black African country that is a major exporter of modern technology and goods, please name it. And if you have a list of Sub-Saharan black African countries that are not dependent of foreign advisers for training and technology and as a source of weapon supplies ( I don't know of one black African country that manufactures it's own automatic assault rifles, tanks, military transport vehicles, Naval vessels, military aircraft, large artillery guns, etc), I'll hear it also.

Yes Diamonds and other precious gems. Recession and political instability and war have gone a long way in destabilizing Africa. But there are still a few viable countries. I don't know about technologies and things, but I know there are still countries that are self sustained or else people would not be traveling over there. I remember studying about it in school, but I will do some more research on this and get back to you guys. But believe this, all african countries don't have little starving children without food living in huts and digging through garbage dependent on someone to give them aid. Not to say that Africa hasn't been ravaged and these conditions exist in places. But that is not all Africa is. I have a very wealthy friend from Ethiopia and she travels back there quite often. And she assures me this isn't the case where she's from. |

I wasn't under the impression that all of Africa was like Darfur, but I was curious as to what products the more stable countries exported to the USA. |

Right off the top of my head I can think of coffee, cobalt, titanium, uranium (remember the yellow cake story) petroleum, plenty of raw materials coming out.
There are materials without which cellphones and computers cannot be made that come out of Africa.
What are Africans doing? Well they have only been out of colonialism about 40 years, what should they be doing.
American Negroes have been living in so called Civilization for 500 years. When are they going to start exporting something? |

Must be for two reasons; 1) They depend of foreign technology to mine, extract and process it, 2.) They have to export since they don't have the technology to process and develop it. Got that..!!??

Well, to be honest Chris, I don't hate myself. Never have. Why would I? There is no sane reason for me to do so. I've never had any traumatic serial failures and disappointments or debilitating experiences which would lead me to hate myself.
My life is pretty darn good. In fact, it's been very cushy and easy. But that is only because I did a lot of long term planning, sacrificing and took advantage of opportunities that were available. And being black has never been a problem for me. It may have been a problem for other people, I dunnno, I can't speak to that. But being black has never prevented me from doing anything I've wanted do. And I have I never had the need nor desire to be anything else. That said, again, what sane reason would I have for hating myself? Makes no sense. Sorry if you got that impression bro. Are you suffering from self-hate issues? Just curious......
