The rapper Eve and the actress Sanaa Lathan are brown-skinned. Kelly is straight up DARK, and beautiful with it. |

Kelly is brown-skinned Yoruba princess. But to answer your question Kelly's Black mother was probably no where to be found. Like alot of weak, dark-skinned mothers who refuse to affirm there daughters beauty. |

This thread makes one wonder how different the responses from the women here would be if they all were light(er) in skin tone (i.e., cashew and up), had genetically straight hair, and had non-Negroid facial features, no junk in the trunk, etc. Hmmmmm. |

That is why these discussions about skin tones/complexions/colors go in circles. Everyone sees light, brown, dark, etc. differently.

Nahhhh. In the blue vein circles (which still exist), Gabrielle Union is considered dark, so it's all relative. |
