Got up, decided to put on my writer hat today and be Chris Hayden, Boy Writer.
Those of you who do this can imagine what most of it has been like--talking to niggas who ain't got a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out about their grandiose plans to found financial empires and write sure fire hot sales books(with me to do the writing)
Niggas are good idea people, I have found.
I have also found that ideas are a dime a dozen.
As on that episode of the Corner:
You the nigga with the idea. He the nigga with the truck.
(By the way I heard Dr. Michael Eric Dyson on Democracy Now last night and he agrees with me on how to deal with the word--
I didn't think much of him at first but my respect grows for him daily-- |

So, how do you deal with the "word"?
(Say it and think it as often as possible--though never aloud and never in company that it might offend and never do I call anybody that even if in terms of endearment (one of my brother's friends did not think I liked him until I called him a nigga--I think that is screwed up but what the hell) |

(You would think of such a reference--but I love ya like a brother anyway.
Actually I should be grateful that anybody even considers me worthy to share their fever dreams with.
It just strikes me that if you have nothing, your dreams should be commensurate with your abilities.
For instance. One guy wanted to get together and have ME write (all of their ideas have ME writing the books) this nonfiction book that we will sell to libraries.
At this stage, why not write up a pamphlet, burn it off at Kinkoes, see if you can sell it, plow the profits back into the business, and proceed in such a manner.
The other guy was talking about starting these holding and licensing corporations for marketing some of his Dad's special barbecue sauce.
Cool.
But we ain't put together bottle one.
How do you do it?
Fix up a big mess of sauce. Sell it to somebody who is putting together some of them dinners for the church building fund. Or give it to them. When people start asking "Who make-a da sauce"? Then we can sell it.
My people suffer from elephantiasis of ambition. Because we see the Rockefellers, the Trumps, the Bill Gates, we want to be them right away.
These guys started out small.
I was talking with a Jewish guy one day. His dad parlayed a fortune out of a junk shop--got one, got a string of them, etc. |

As usual, you think people can read your mind, chrishayden. Why didn't you say the "n-word" instead of the just the "word". I thought Rev. Dyson was making reference to the "word" as in the "bible". No wonder you're a boy writer. snort. |
