Hello everyone,
I have some news about Kola and why she won't be posting for a while.
First up, it's completely silly for Bobby Brown to think that Osama Bin Laden is out to get him, but if you've read the stories at GOOGLE NEWS and YAHOO NEWS, then you know Mr. Brown's P.R. people are beefing up security and using it for a press story.
A story that Kola refuses to give a "statement" for, and unfortunately, some reporters in California have been attempting to photograph she and the children and following her, so she had to take her kids and go away for a while. Kola really doesn't want anymore of this type of publicity, because each time she speaks on it, the media twists things to make her look like she's crazy or a liar.
Second up, a prominent White African journalist named Shane Faherty has written a very interesting article about Kola that was published in March in Sudan's newspaper for White European citizens, THE SUDAN MIRROR ("Kola Boof--Blurring the Line Between Fact and Fiction")--we just got permission to reprint it and I thought some of you might want to read it.

Third thing,
Kola's told you about the black surfer girls
who've been wanting to film her. 
Well, they've actually been trying to get Kola to surf and she won't do it (these girls are like half Kola's age, they look like teenagers!). LOL!
So instead there's going to be an event in L.A. during the first week in September where Kola will be singing the ancient song she's been telling you about and the surf girls are going to make a music video out of it. I think it's going to be shot in Leimert Park.
Some people on this board live in L.A. and might want to come be in it, so email Kola.
Of course this is like Kola's blog where we've discovered that even newspaper people look in to spy, so Kola asked me to tell you that she loves her AALBC.COM family and that she's grateful for all the support and understanding she's gotten from those who are her friends here over the years and she will be back soon.

*Hope everyone caught my meaning about reporters watching these boards to get Kola quotes.

Also, don't forget to see Kola in New York City at the Schomburg Center in Harlem on Sept. 16th at 4 pm.

Nafisa_goma, ya know, I just have to ask you a question -Why do you feel driven to come to this board to give us continuous updates and detailed reports of Kolas life? Are you her enslaved indentured servant or an aggressive paid publicist? Which is it? Now, I have no problems with you posting in this forum. You have the right to do so. But your never ending slavish blather and adulatory chirping about this woman can be somewhat.....well...let's just say, tedious.
Is she not capable or willing to post her own comments and updates? And why do you feel compelled to parrot every detail of this woman's life?? Although I do not agree with everything she advocates or rails about, I do feel she can be a driving force on this board. Whether you agree with her or denounce her, no one can generate traffic on this board like she can. This is not debatable.
Again, I don't agree with all that she advocates, but she is very good for the board and she has the right to voice all of her opinions. No doubt. But your seemingly daily news reporting and tabloid commentary about her life, what she does, what she likes, what she does not like, where she lives, where she is going, etc, etc, etc...., is numbing. But then again, I have a feeling about who you really are.

Nafisa and I go way back. Kola Bottle has MPD which is Multiple Personality Disorder. Nafisa is one of Kola's "alters" (alternate personalities).
Koka Kola developed MPD as a young girl as a result of being sexually abused. Often during sexual abuse a child has to split part of themselves off to sort of divorce themselves from what is happening to their body. It is then that both Kola and Nafisa were created. Nafisa watched from the ceiling as Kola was abused on the bed. It's very sad. |

Obviously because Kola asks me to post information here for her, why would I have a
problem that? Other friends of Kola's such as Alicia Banks, Ronn Taylor, Renata, Prettybabygirl and writer Margret Layton have also posted things here for Kola Boof before. Why wouldn't we when it takes all of 3 minutes to cut and paste?
Kola and I have been close friends for more than 10 years, she's the godmother of my children.
I edited all of Kola's books and I partly own a business with Kola and have a legal financial interest in her books, which means I get money when she gets money.
When Kola is unable to post or doesn't want to, I click over to this site and post whatever she asks me. I'm on the computer all day, so why is it a problem?
Why wouldn't I do that for a friend and business partner?

Nafisa: why is it so important for Kola Bottle to post here? I mean it seems an awful lot of trouble for her to have to get other people to post her rantings for her. Why bother at all?
Don't get me wrong, i love me some Kola. But if was really important and in demand she wouldn't have time to worry about this old discussion board.
