Nowadays when a black person calls something racist the white folks sneeringly refer to this as "pulling the race card"--as though all this is some kind of game and I can pull some kind of card that automatically gets me preferential treatment.
But is this the only kind of card in the deck? When a Jew calls something Anti Semitic--isn't he pulling the Jew card?
How about when a white woman identifies sexism--is this the sex card? The vagina card? The ••••• card?
How about when a gay person identifies homophobia. Isn't this the Gay card?

LOL ABM you are so right you know! You always get find a white man who says 'as a straight, white male I am constantly discriminated against and not able to pull any type of card blah blah blah'.

2 other cards that are very effectively played are the "Martin Luther King" and the "Malcolm X" ones. To reinforce their argument about any subject, white people need only to compare it with something King said or did, and this is guaranteed to silence oppposition from blacks. The same with Malcolm. All one black person has to do to stifle opposition from another one is to preface the point they are trying to make with the phrase "as Malcolm X once said". Blacks don't dare dispute anything these 2 icons said or did 40 years ago because in death M&M became "saints" who could do no wrong. Supposedly. |
