This group of "black surfer girls" (yes--black girls who surf)
are also filmmakers and are making
a short film about me.
I am so ELATED to be found by these girls!!
I never knew black girls surfed and that
they had a "surf club". They're very
inspiring.
Their leader (the one featured in the short YouTube film)
read my autobiography (twice) and
"Flesh and the Devil" and said she
just had to track me down and make
a film about me.
FUKKING NARLEY, dude!

I thank God so much for sending just the right
type of people to help me with my endeavors,
because I've been wanting to make a video of
a live performance of my Egyptian song and
they're going to produce it.
Anybody have any stories about surfing
or Skiing??? I've never done either--or
wanted to

What's so unusual about Black girls surfing? It's not as if Black people don't reside near the ocean. Or are you questioning whether Black girls can afford a surfboard?
Black people ski as well. There are groups of them at the ski resorts in Colorado and elsewhere. It's nothing new.
Regarding your new film project - could you please elaborate on whatever happened with these films, movies, DVDs. I'm curious to know if any of your projects ever materialize or if it's all just a bunch of hot air.

I have skiied Kola. In Italy about ten years ago in January when I was eleven. My school chose skiing in Italy, France and even America as one of it's annual sports excursions abroad.
It was great fun but highly embarrassing when you have four year old Italian kids who are whizzing past you, doing fancy tricks and looking super cool whilst your rolling down a slope, your ski jacket bunched up and trying to hold down your cries of pain as your ski pole hits you in your face.
Great fun and very easy to pick up though. |

I've lived in L.A my whole life and I don't know any Black girls who surfed.
I (on the other hand) have seen Black men who surfed!! And were pretty good at it too!!!
But Black women NOPE!! |

I love to watch people ski, but I would never
want to try it myself.
