Yesterday morning someobdy came to me and told me that they had been down to the morgue and some of the workers down there told him that 8 or 9 people had been shot to death in a gang war over on Lee Avenue. Told me it was hot. Watch it. etc.
Today I find that one guy got shot in the leg on Lee and Taylor after a police chase. No 8 or 9 guys shot. Nobody dead.
But how many are still running with that massacre story? And so America proceeds, scaring itself to death in a self induced state of hysteria. |

Some neighborhood.
Shootings through the week. Drunkass neighbors early in the morning..
and a delightful free concert yesterday afternoon featuring 70's music that was peaceful and fun.
