These stupid White, pseudo-liberal, dueshbags make me sick!!! Like they REALLY care about Africa and they are not trying to 'drum-up' publicity for themselves.
Like Brad Pitt, Prince Harry, and George Clooney in the midst of getting rich, laid, and shitfaced really care about the plight of the Sudanese.
If they don't care about Black ppl in this country. What makes you think that they are going to care about the Black ppl in Africa and they are 5-6 shades darker than we are.
And I would luv to "bust a cap" in the azz of Tarzan's oldest son BONO!!

Those covers are so COOL! I wish that some of them weren't photoshopped (people actually posing together instead) and also that they weren't all being published at once, but rather in a series. I don't think that many people are going to buy 20 issues of VF all at once

I do believe that there are many genuine people who have jumped on the 'Save Africa' or 'Save the Climate' bandwagon. But equally there are those who want to soothe their giant egos (because you got to remember these celebrities are told they are loved and perfect on a daily basis, so they need confirmation on that and they choose to do it by 'saving the earth' - some of them anyway). Some do it for the publicity.
Look at it this way. Brad Pitt goes on about how careful he is when it comes to his carbon footprint, and how climate change is important. Yet he brought himself a boys' toy (a kind of quad bike worth £300,000) to play with whilst Angelina Jolie was working on set. This things is gas guzzzling by the way, more so than a quad bike and more so than many, many cars. He also used a private jet to fly away for his Ocean's 13 premieres (sp).
Now if he can be so hypocritical about climate change what's to stop him with 'Saving Africa'? And what's to stop anyone else.
And I am sick of these celebrities acting all holier-than-thou on my arse. If you want to save the world - good for you. And highlighting a country's problems is different in it's entirety, many celebrities do that on a low key basis.
But acting like someone is a villian because they care more about feeding their own children, paying their taxes, their healthcare or crime in their area than a place they haven't been to is sanctamonious. Especially when you are making people feel guilty for living in the western world yet you still take advantage of all the benefits your money and celebrity bring. |

Also, Bono, moved to a Dutch tax haven so he didn't have to pay massive taxes in his homeland of Ireland. He is asking citizens of western and monied countries (because this G8 summit is about giving aid out of our taxes) to spare their own cash yet he cannot even spare his own Euros (Ireland uses Euros) on his own people.
