I'm walking and a van makes a U turn and pulls up next to me at the curb. I got a little aprehensive--I am not into anything heavy but sometimes you are the victim of mistaken identity.
Turns out it was a guy I know. And old pimp named Rabbit. Since he is an old pimp he is broke down and sleeping in the van and got a used furniture hustle.
"Where ya goin?" he asks.
"To the Library."
"Come on. I'll carry you. I want you to look up the genesis of the word n*gger for me."
"OK."
As well pull off suddenly with squealing tires a raggedy old station wagon cuts him off with a left turn."
"That car got to be stolen the way he's drivin'" Rabbit said. Sure enough, right behind was a police car, siren and lights blazing. We watched the chase until they were out of sight. Then he carried me to the library.
When I told my nephew about it later he remarked on how he would miss all the excitement when he headed back to college.

I take after my grandfather. He used to drive halfway to our house and walk the rest of the way so he could stay limber because he sat down mostly on his job. When the distance is only a few blocks, as with the library I walk SO I DON'T WIND UP A FAT SACK OF TEXAS SHIT LIKE YOU!

And another thing. Birds of a feather flock together and so I would suggest you dissociate from people such as Rabbit the broke down pimp who lives in his van. People might see you riding with him and get the impression that you're a trick who's trying to buy some old broke down pussy.

Mainly I associate with him to get the word on the street, which I do not have the time to gather, and also because he has plenty of good pimp/crime stories.

I've never even told you about any of my exciting adventures. Like that one time when I had to jump out of a moving car. Well, I've actually had to jump outta moving car twice. Niggas are so crazy, you know. Sometimes you just gotta make a quick getaway
