Folks was discussing their favorite subjects
Deadbeat Dads and OOW births.
Guy got on who is a community activist. Ran a shelter for runaways until the State closed him down.
He said he participated in a panel. Panel was all adult black males having a discussion with black teenagers about their problems.
One panel member, a Reverend, asked the kids why they kept engaging in risky behavior with sex.
A 14 year old girl supposedly got up and said,
"If you got something that feels good as sex, I will do that instead."
The silence afterward was defeaning. Soon they moved to adjourn the meeting. |

Well, so much for the myth that a woman doesn't reach her sexual peak until her 30s and before that age it's all about "faking it" or giving the "not tonight, dear, I have a headache" excuse. |

You old bat. If you could remember back that far to when you were 14, you'd realize you got no room to talk.
Most 14 year olds are raging, confused torrents of hormones. Because I don't approve of the sex habits of 14 year olds don't mean squat. They didn't mean squat to me and they didn't mean squat to you and they didn'nt mean squat a million years ago and they won't in a million years if we are still here.
I suppose those men could have told that girl that Jesus is the answer. Maybe Jesus is, but I ain't met nobody who is willing to accept that until he or she can't get it up no more.
We have to find a real way to deal with the fact that kids are going to have sex--as long as all it takes is five minutes up against the wall you ain't gonna be able to do a thing to stop it-- you sockdologizing old mantrap and find methods that will work--as othe tired, outmoded 19th Century methods of hypocrisy and denial have not. |

Chris, when my grandmother was 14 she was already married and had a baby.
When my great grandmother was 14, she had already been married THREE years (do the math) and had a baby. She married her SECOND husband at age 16.
I don't know why older people try to act like young people having sex is a new thing. The only difference is that they had the good sense to get married before having a child. |

It was rumored that my great grandmother was married off young because her own mother was widowed young and wanted to be "free" to pursue someone new. |

Great grandmother was born in 1910 and married in 1921. Grandmother born in 1924 and married in 1937.
14 year olds having sex is hardly something that just sprang up. |

Five minutes up against the wall? If that's your idea of a good time, let me set you straight. A woman requires much more than that in order to be satisfied. It's obvious that your selfishness and lack of consideration for others (only thinking about Mr. Limpy) is the reason why you ain't got nobody now.
As to the fast-ass 14 year-olds - it's true that young teens engage in sexual activity. This is why PARENTS must stay close to their children and ensure they are practicing SAFE SEX. Sadly, most adults are in denial, thinking that their children are innocent and studying school books, when in reality they're out there getting their freak on - like everybody else. The most delusional of these being fathers, but mothers are guilty of it too.
If you have children, regardless of how you think they're innocent and not interested in sex, it is the parent's responsibility to council them about practicing safe sex and to provide them with condoms.
And ladies, if someone's been giving you five minutes up against the wall (or anywhere else) take a stand and demand your due!!!

Chris, I wasn't advocating it. I just said it's hardly a new thing. The same people who are yelling at 14 year olds having sex are from a generation where they were already married with kids at that age, so I don't know why they think today's 14 year olds are all virgins. |

Baby boomers took the example of their parents and decided to wait until they finished their education (and invent the birth control, hehe).
Everybody enjoys sex (after certain hormones have come into existence within their bodies) because it's pleasurable. I can't even understand why whether they enjoy it is an issue at all. Why are they in a position to find out whether or not it's pleasurable is a more pressing issue. |

And the baby boomer generation weren't without their problems, either. Wasn't this the era of "back alley abortions"? And girls getting "sent away to live with her aunt for the year"?
14 year olds have always been having sex, people just came up with different ways of hiding it. They used to force marriage, then they forced adoption or hid abortions....now they're just not as judgmental anymore. |

Has there really been any progress?
We've gone from young girls marrying guys at 12 and having children with him (and at least knowing who the father is and having a stable family life)......to young girls STILL having children but without a father or a stable family unit.
So, really, where have we progressed in the past few years? This generation can act all mighty and say "at least we're not getting married at 14", but are we really doing any better? |
