White people have more of an incentive not to tie themselves down with babies. For them, there is a world of opportunities out there, free from the restraints of racism. |

The dude who brought this to my attention told me that he knew a white girl who had had three of them by the time she was 16. Her dad got them for her.
He supposedly said he would keep knocking them out of her as long as she kept doing it as long as she was in his house. |

Just as many white girls getting pregnant as black girls, the media is skewed as always to show them in a better light, or as Chris pointed out, they are having more abortions.
I knew a white girl that went around telling people she'd had seven before she was sixteen...White girls ain't no better at getting themselves out of hot and heavy situations and getting finessed outta they draws than black girls are. They are pushing baby carts too unless they can afford to abort! |

The answer--they have abortions. Else they would.
We were not debating the legality of abortions. We were not making a value judgment.

What would ol clueless chrishayden do if he couldn't use white folks as his barometer when measuring black folks. His whole life revolves around comparing them to each other, not realizing that a preoccupation with this is a distraction for black progress. But that's how crissy's one-track mind works. |

i think its a little easier for black people to have children than for white people to have them.
if you look at the twinning rate in africa its extreemely high...higher than in other places |

Her chances for having a baby later in life must be f'cked.
On a tangent, I was listening to a show on the radio a few days back and there wasa feature about a young girl, in south carolina, who was raped. She winded up pregnant and had the baby. When she got married a few years later and tried for a baby with her husband she was told that she had been sterilised (the exact words of the doctor was 'butchered').
She found out this could be legally done as she was deemed 'unfit' to look after more children due to age and other reasons (that came across more as excuses). This was also despite the she raised her son who was a result of the rape. |

i suspect, you mean fewer in proportion to black women....
Generally, in order to get at abortion, one has to get at class and educational differences. Also, I don't if the African community in the U.S. has the same issues as African Americans have....
I suspect that since white folk are wealthier than African Americans, then they also have the funds to take care of these children.
And, back in the day, black folk used to send the child to the north or to some relatives home, because abortions were socially unacceptable then...not that is is now, but more so than in the past.

You know that's a good point Latina_wi. A lot of white couples suffer from infertility. Who knows but that thier mothers and fathers haven't made secret agreements to have thier daughters sterilized after a couple of abortions?
And yes many girls don't understand the possible consequences of mulitple abortions later in life when they would like to have children. |
