Nice thread!

Change to an organic food diet though I haven't done the research yet and I'm not quite sure if I can afford it. Why summer? Because I eat less in the summer so I figured it will be easier and more affordable to switch over then. Plus taste won’t be an issue since I only eat to survive in the summer.

Cleaning 17+ years worth of crap out of my house so I can FINALLY get started on fixing it! I have boxes that I never opened from when I moved in!!!!! Princess House anyone?

Tonya - do you have any farmers markets where you live? A lot of them are organic and while they won't necessarily be cheaper than the regular grocery store they usually are of better quality.

Yvettep - where's your list?

My goal is to make it to my 74th birthday in August. If my posting suddenly stops y'all will know that old Cynique stepped out of the parade, but didn't really mind leaving because I have already achieved my other goal of believing that death is not the end but the beginning and I will awake to a new reality because - "all that we seem or seem, is just a dream within a dream...." zzzzzzzzz

Crystal, thanks..I’m assuming "better quality" means better tasting too! There’s only one itty bitty farmers market within walking distance from me but there are tons of them where my sister lives and she’s my shopping buddy.

Cynique, stop tripping toots. You ain't going nowhere. You're like fungus; your behind don’t die, you just rust in the winter and turn mildewed come summer!

(Gee,Tonya. That's--sniff--BEAUTIFUL. It fits Cynique to a T.

I wish I'd thought of it.

By the way, Cynique. Here's something to help you make it to 74-75-76-100 +!

When you pass I'm going to come to the funeral and PERFORM! I'm going to scream and holler louder than your family. I'm going to try to throw myself over in the casket at the church and over in the grave at the cemetary.

That ought to put some pep in your step.

LOL @ all of you! Chris, when you said "perform" I first thought you meant something else. You have mentioned a...penchant for freshly deceased bodies before here. That'd be enough to keep Cynique determined to live forever, I would think! :-)

Tonya, I, too am trying to eat healthier--organic, more fresh fruits and veggies. I am also trying to find fish or seafood I like in order to eat that for health benefits. (Right now the only seafood I like are tuna fish sandwhiches.)

My other goals are to read about 10 books I bought on my last book-buying binges that I have yet t oget around to. Several are various perspectives on affirmative action and Brown v. Board of Education.

Then, I have two articles for work I need to finish writing and get out of the door.

A busy, busy summer!

Apparently Chrishayden doesn't know that the term "cheesecake" refers to women showing their bare assests in either swimsuits or scanty attire. I don't know what's up with this guy's muddled brain. LOL

But you look 43 at 73 which is a VERY big deal. I just thought of something. Maybe you should write a book about this. You know, "The Fountain of Youth" ...this is one of the hottest issues going today. I think Sonjay Gupta (CNN) just made a killing off this sort of book....Maybe you should give it a thought. I’m sayin, you already write a lot, and if you do end up making that money, just send me my check in the mail...shout me out thirty/forty pages...and all's kewl.

It's all about attitude. You have to think young, and stay current! And hangin out on this board, interacting with a lot of feisty young folks certainly serves as a surrogate fountain of youth, along with raising children who grew up to be my "pals" and grandchildren who energize me. LOL That paragraph was a book right there, huh?

Pay attention everyone! This is important!

70 is the new 40, and 40 is the new 20.

Cynique is 40 and Mzuri is 20.

Got it :-)

I agree with you all. My "older" relatives say I act too much like a 20 year old. I'm 32. My sister is 29, and still seems like she's 16.

You have to consider, though, by the time my older relatives were my age, they were finished having children, and some were or were close to being grandparents.
