Barber just retired from playing pro football. He decided to retire while still being one of the game's very best running backs. And that's largely why he's gotten so much attention. Well that and he played pro football for the NEW (Media Hype Capital of the WORLD!!!) YORK Giants.

Tiki is college educated, articulate, understands the entertainment industry, is extremely likeable, and his exisiting fame will draw new viewers and raise ratings. With that being said, he totally deserves to be in the position he is in. And he also financially supports and is an active participant in many charities -- charities that involve children and the black community.

Glad to hear Tiki got the gig. He was an outstanding athlete for the NY Giants. I used to watch him all the time (although I have no love for the Giants) Very nice and a very popular brother. I wish him success with his new job a correspondent for NBC news TODAY and an analyst for NBC’s “Football Night in America.” Tiki and his twin brother, Ronde, currently host a weekly football show on Sirius NFL Radio called “The Barber Shop.” Very talented brother and I'm sure he will do well.

I have "a thing" for people, and couples, regardless of color, who represent interests/values that I think are positive for society -- education (intelligence), self-motivation, honesty, kindness, hardwork, faith, and family. Tiki and his family represent such. And in regards to them being an interracial couple, I only point out his incredible qualities because many people on this forum are quick to bash everything any black man -- or black woman -- does if they're open to dating/marrying interracially -- or already are. It's a senseless double-standard.

No surprise, they're twins, identical twins at that. I am not surprised that they would have the same taste in women. I wouldn't be surprised that their former girlfriends looked alike, too. Ginny and Rose (I think that is the other one's name) have careers of their own, and seem socially active with their husbands in the sports community (based on articles I have read). I doubt they are the "Geisha girl" type. |
