Once the ground thawed, the headstone for my husband's grave was laid. So me and my children and older grandkids all got together and drove out to visit his final resting place. I was kind of dreading this because I thought it would it turn out to be a sad ordeal but it was a sunny blue-skied day and instead of gloom, a good feeling started to permeate the gathering as we began to chuckle and joke because my husband left a legacy of funny memories. When it was time to go, we held hands and observed a few seconds of silence and every body agreed that our guy was there with us in spirit, all of which provided my kids with the much-needed closure that I have already acquired in the privacy of my memories... Well, I guess that was a bit sentimental but you asked to hear something "good", Yvette. Now, back to being "bad." LOL. |

Thank you. It's a lot of work though. I've got to download and crop pix, re-do my eBay storefront, create new ads for tons of products. It's a wonderful line but it has everything for bedroom, living room, dining room, patio, bar and everywhere else to include wall decor.
I'm so excited because they contacted me and said they like my operation and they want me to be their exclusive eBay dealer

Yep, LiLi and Mzuri. Gotta be grateful for small blessings. And time does seem to be passing faster than usual. Before we know it, 2007 will be half over and then - 2008. The 17-year cicaydas will soon be breaking out of their cocoons for the first time since 1990 and it seems like just the other day, me and my husband were sitting on our front steps looking at their empty shells covering the ground, saying we should save some of them to pull out when 2007 arrived. And now, it's that time again. In 1990 who knew what lay ahead. And so it goes. |

It's finally raining in L.A.! We're only about 10 inches short. Folks are taking bets on which will be worse this summer - gas prices or water prices. |

LOL @ Crystal--That's OK, you have enough "good" in there to pass! Seriously, though, I was reading somewhere that water is going to be the oil of this century, with folks going to war and whatnot over a clean supply, water rights, etc.

Yukio and Renata: Glad you're singing! Chaka (aka "the other Yvette") is my girl and I was definitely singing that song when I titled this thread. It was either that or "Don't Nobody Bring Me No Bad News" from the Wiz, but that was more negative and less grammatically correct. |

Girl, I LOOOOVE me some Chaka Khan. There was a classic Soul Train episode on KTLA a couple of weeks ago and it looked like it may have been her very first television appearance - Rufus feat. CK. It was PRICELESS.
