Misty,

Ancient Aithiop which translates to "Ethiopia" is the BIBLICAL continent that was made up by Nubia/Cush (Sudan), Egypt, Kenyaku, Tanzanika and Ethiopia (Axum Empire).

In the bible they call it "Cush" or "Ethiopia"---but they are not talking about the modern day nation of Ethiopia, they mean the "continent" of Aithiop.

Later on, The BRITISH colonized Egypt and Sudan as basically one country, and they are STILL basically the same country.

Don't forget that in ancient "Dynasnic Egypt", the Pharoahs got 80% of their wives from SUDAN (for instance Tut's mother Tiye) to keep the blood connected to their roots.

Later on...Nubia invaded Egypt and colonized it for several hundred years.

Egypt got free and invaded Nubia and colonized it.

Egypt and Sudan to this day, are a "JOINED" society, but mostly because of the British.

Nubia is the "central" and "north" desert of Sudan....Cush is the South Sudan where the Blue Nile and the White Nile meet.

Thank you Americansista, :-)

It was a "continent" and I left out Congo.

Basically, in Biblical times, all of KNOWN Africa was called "Aithiop".

When you read "Ethiopia" in the bible---and they refer to Ethiopia as being Cush, that never confused you????

Cush is in South Sudan, nowhere near Ethiopia.

The reason the Bible does that, is because they are not referring to the modern country of Ethiopia---which back then was called "Axum Empire"----the bible refers to the ancient CONTINENT of Ethiopia ("Aithiop").

Hey, girlie!

I never thought about it (Ethiopia being called Cush) before, to be honest. I just assumed that was a King James mistranslation and never questioned it.

Tell me more!
