I heard that she is releasing an album. What a shame!! When celebs do this that means that they are DESPERATE!!! I hope she gets more roles that put her in the "limelight" again!! What do you think?? |

I hardly think Halle has any reason to be desperate. Nobody knows whether she can sing but she demonstrated a good feel for music in her portrayal of Dorothy Dandridge. And she sure wouldn't be the first person to cut a record who couldn't sing. |

the role that put halle berry in the "limelight" was letting the whiteman screw her head off on camera and FOR real.
halle berry is a HORRIBLE actress.
and i don't even think she is that attractive (don't get me wrong she is attractive, but not the drop deap beauty she is made out to be).
she is kind of an embarrassment.
she screwed the whiteman and got her oscar award, and its been DOWNHILL ever since.
and she's not getting any younger.
maybe she'll screw another whiteman in a film and get some more "spotlight".
by the way, NICOLE KIDMAN deserved the oscar award the year halle berry won.
halle berry is just mediocre talent.
there are other actresses (black or whatever) that are more deserving of acclaim, that this "piece of on-screen wood" named HALLE BERRY. |

^^^^Wow! There seems to be a growing trend of black men who are bashing Halle Berry all of a sudden. And it has increased a lot recently, even more than after Monster's Ball and the Oscars...
Could this be because she is a happy relationship with a white dude and there's no drama? |

halle berry's mother told her growing up that she's a "BLACK GIRL with a white mother".
and thats what she is.
i don't expect to change anyone's mind, but halle berry is black.
she is a black woman.
is halle berry known as a "bi-racial" oscar winner?
or is she known as a BLACK OSCAR WINNER?
when she and denzel BOTH won the oscar, did people say ONE black person won an oscar, and a "bi-racial" person won the other oscar for best actress?
or did people recogzize the TWO BLACK PEOPLE won the oscar that night?
all of the talk in the world will NEVER change the fact that even though her mother is white, halle berry is seen as, thinks of herself, and IS A BLACK WOMAN.

In reality she doesn't always see herself just as Black. Many times she has often talked about the struggles she faced as a "biracial" woman in America.

halle berry spoke of her struggles growing up "bi-racial", in the context of her mother being white and her father black.
but the speech she gave after winning the oscar for "monster's ball", left NO doubt regarding the fact that halle berry understands and recognizes that she IS a BLACK WOMAN.
many of our people were hung from trees.
some of them had one white parent.
did they recieve some type of "bi-racial" treatment from the people who hung them?
or were they viewed as "just another ••••••"?
the reality is that in most circles, our people who have a white parent, are just seen as black people.
this "bi-racial" idea goes "out the window".

I don't really care much for Halle because I don't feel that she's a very good actress. And although I think she's a beautiful looking woman, she's had plastic surgery so I don't consider her a natural beauty. But she's definitely not lacking in the intelligence department.
Halle is a BOND girl, and there are not very many dark ones of those (Grace Jones is the only other one that comes to mind). That is a very exclusive club.
She is an award winning actress (as well as a producer) and she has earned millions of dollars, so if she never works another day in her life, I'm sure she won't be missing any meals.
She's smart enough (if not her mother surely provided her guidance) to parlay and invest some of the money that she has acquired so that she can live comfortably regardless of whether her acting career is dead or not.

Not from me. I have no problems with Halle Berry. In fact, I don't think much of her and I don't mean that negatively. She is just not one of my personal favorite actresses. I just don't get into this hatin' drama syndrome of celebrities and actors who have no impact whatsoever in my life.

I could care less who she dates. It's her personal business. I have a life. The silly railing and name calling comes from those who don't. It's no ones damn business what she does in her private life. She doesn't have to explain who she dates or sleeps with to anyone other than herself. E'nuff said......

Halle's career is FAR from being dead. However, she reminds me of Demi Moore in that Halle has managed to be considered a major movie star while SELDOM being the primary reason why foks go to see the movies she's been in.
She not in the league of a Will Smith, Julia Roberts or Denzel Washington who movie producers can consistently depend upon to generate a certain return on their investment. And at this stage of her life, she's 40, I wonder if she'll ever really have the chance to become such. |

Halle has already addressed this rumor in depth.
SHE IS NOT RELEASING AN ALBUM AND HAS NO INTENTION OF SINGING.
Of course, she's of an age where it's very difficult to get starring roles in films.
She will more than likely jettison to being a star in prestigious television productions and will spend a lot of her free time being a socialite and glamour ornament for industry parties and paper rags.
Which is what women do in Hollywood after 40.

I can see Halle going the route you describe. Though given how well she was able to pull on that Dorothy Dandridge project (which, btw, is what I believe is what garnered her that Oscar), perhaps she will prove to be a better producer of movies than she is an actress. |

I don't get why black men can date white women and it's considered "free will", and BI-RACIAL women (the PRODUCT of those relationships) don't have that same free will and should stay with black men. |
