...other than missing ABM and Tonya and the gang.
I can assure everyone on this board....that ANYONE who has made the worldwide reported claim of having been with Osama Bin Laden....is going to surely be PICKED APART by the F.B.I.
You can't make a claim like that and be reported in the worldwide media (as I am and have been since 2002) and not be under surveillance.
Under the Patriot Act, I am on a "suspected terrorist" list my damned self.
They've been picking me apart for YEARS NOW...and while they're doing it, they also alert me to little things without giving any explanation.
They WARM ME about people and events all the time.
But this is the VERY FIRST TIME they have "EVER" told me to not answer/address or read someone on this discussion board.
This took place around Christmas when I did my special CHRISTMAS post. You all know who that person is.
I have NO IDEA what's going on with that poster, but it could likely be (and I'm just speculating here), but it could be that the N.Y. TIMES are about to try and make up some bullshit----and as "MAYA ANGELOU KNOWS"---when they get ready to cut you down, they try to put the face of someone LIKE YOU on the person doing the cutting.
In other words...they call in an African to befriend, set up and LIE ON another African.
I'm intrigued by the proceedings. And glad, AS FUCKING USUAL, to have the upper hand.
As the saying goes: "Every shut eye ain't sleep".
Now what has really been tripping me
out since I got back...is MISS TONYA's
ass
I have been tripping out reading her fawn all over CYNIQUE and praise CYNIQUE......while for some reason that only GOD knows....she's totally ignored and not said a single word to me.
I don't remember ever having a fall out with her about anything, so I'm miffed as fucking hell.
Can someone enlighten me?
I did notice that she snubbed my Christmas message to her and that wasn't just perplexing, but hurtful.
Since we're both adults and I haven't been here for some time...WHAT THE FUCK IS UP?

Igbogirl, the newspaper chick and there have been others that just POP UP (many times with an Africanized name) and everybody starts calling them "Kola".
They impersonate me so that they can PUT THINGS THAT I WOULD NEVER SAY into my mouth and have people feeling as though "Kola said". It's a way of "slandering" me. Remember the time someone actually called themselves "Kola Boof" and posted as me? But that's my name publicly, so it's a lot more serious than someone claiming to be NFTS or Cynique for a day---no one else is OUT IN THE OPEN about who they are here.
I think that ABM and Chris Hayden and those posters might recall that YEARS AGO when I used to create "fake names"-----that was because I WAS BANNED from the board! I had been banned by Thumper 3 to 4 different times, because he was so infuriated by my posts and my opinions and my language....and so I created PASSION and SNAKEGIRL and other names and snuck on the board.
That was the reason Troy Johnson created the "Kool Room" just for me if they would recall. So I could have a safe place to post as "Kola".....and I've said everything I wanted to every since then, without censor.
SOMETIMES---I get people (Nafisa Goma, TruthDays, Renata) to come in and post things FOR ME, and then that person becomes "Kola", but it's not me. They really are somebody else, they're not me.
The singer Etta James posted on this board one time YEARS AGO and everybody believed it was me and accused her of being me! She just posted that she had received a copy of my book "Flesh" and it greatly moved her.
It was really Etta James!

WOW ABM, you're about to make me go dig out my scary movies.
BTW, I'm writing a synop for a scary black movie and I'm learning about different film processes and cameras and film stocks.
I'm learning how to make a movie for $50,000 on Digital Film and HD cameras which is really cheap----the cameras only cost about $4,500.
My plan is to film my first movie on 16 millimeter, then have it transferred to DIGITAL so that I myself can edit it on PC (which cuts like a million dollars from the budget if I edit myself).....and THEN have it blown up to 35 millimeter (for theatre screening).
With me as "Producer, Writer, Director, Editor".....it cuts out ENORMOUS budget problems and I could make a movie for really cheap, especially if I don't hire any NAME stars.
I've already interviewed with a Loan Officer about what type of projects they'd most be willing to invest in and they REALLY LIKE my synops.
I just have to learn the technical side much deeper, because unless I'm confident, I can't do anything very well. I will make a short film and then a feature film, BOTH, within the next two years though.
And I'm going to star in my own remake of "RAIN" that I'm writing. Of course "Sadie Thompson" will now be Southern black belle "SallyDora Johnson".
Joan Crawford was my favorite Sadie Thompson, although MOST MEN prefer the no-acting boredom of Rita Hayworth in the role (WAY over her head).

Rodriguez's book, however, was written BEFORE the new HD camera revolution.
His book was on how to make a film for only $7,000 and it's a brilliant book---I love it!
But now with the HD cameras where you do EVERYTHING by computer, it's really easy to make "straight to video" films.....you cut your teeth on those....and the QUALITY is not such that I would release one to theatres with my name on it.
But I love his book and he's FAR MORE HELPFUL than Spike Lee.

I'm sure you could still probably apply much of Rodriguez's APPROACH to filmmaking with the newer technology.
I remember watching him talk about how me was making those +$100M grossing Spy Kids movies for like a third of the budget the studios were giving him. After you spent some time listen to and reading about him, you realize just how much a fluffy snowjob the movie making business really is. |

YES....OHMYGOD, YES!!!...you will LOVE the film "Lumumba". You and Destined both will love it. You will LOVE it.
And you will be shocked to know that it was made on a budget of just $3 million.

Raoul Peck also made "Sometime in April" that you liked with Idris Elba. Another teeny budget film with impeccable production.
THAT IS MY DREAM...to make films like Ousmane Sembene makes...but on a very small budget, but LOOK like a mint.
Only, my subject matter will be EXTREMELY Black American as all but 1 of my films is about black American characters. There is, however, a socio-political reason as to why I do this that I won't go into.
My film "GOD'S HAIR" will hopefully star Isaiah Washington. I'm writing the lead with him in mind and he's not only affordable, but VERY INTERESTED in the subject matter. He could turn out to be the main lead in all my films, actually. The 2nd lead could be played by Djimon Hounsou, but I don't think I can afford him---and I would kind of like to cast an unknown African in that role anyway, someone who doesn't already have an image. It's the story of the little African boy whose school teacher must defend him when he presents the Cushite myth about "God's hair" in a public school forum and is accused of being racist. I hope to make it for $2 million.

I'm a FREAK for trailers. Really. If I don't see the trailers, it dayamnear ruins the movie for me.
I guess it's because for me part of the energy for see an movie is the build up or anticipation for it that a good trailer can stir-up.
So Destined and I often squabble on the way to the movies because I'm usually hurrying to catch the trailers. While, I'm sure for fairly sadistic reasons, seem to try to do her dayamnest to cause us to miss them.
And the crazy part is the nearest theatre is about a FIVE-minute drive from our home.
Now here the really bizarre thing: I can do WITHOUT the Internet movie trailers. Just don't FEEL the same to me. |

That's normal---it's the same as Toni Morrison saying she can't read a book ONLINE, it must be in BOOK FORM---you have to see it on the big screen.
I'm like that too about movie-going. I can't enjoy the movie if I'm not there when the lights go down.
I also LOVE trailers and love any kind of "marketing/publicity" strategizing (poster art, musical "cresendo" inside trailer, billing, number of Close Ups), because I'm a natural born promoter and "image" conscious person myself. There are LAYERS of meaning in everything I do.
I appear to be "out of control" and reckless to most---but in truth, I'm extraordinarily conscious of details and what it is that I'm TRYING/ATTEMPTING to either "convey" or "imbed". I'm very meticulous and like to be slightly "off" from the Status EDGE, preferring the Cutting EDGE.
So I totally relate to how you feel. It's a neuroses, and I'm neurotic too.
Ever human has neuroses but some of us are villified for ours, btw.

ABM, my Black American films will be just that......filled almost ENTIRELY with chocolate skinned black American and African actors.
And my explanation will be that I am Nilotic Sudanese-born and therefore must have a vision just as my idol Josef Von Sternberg had his vision in Marlene Dietrich.
My goal is to create EBONY-SKINNED glamour goddesses---but not Eurocentric culturally----I want them to have the aesthetic of African goddess-hood....but contained in an AMERICAN film. Although the 3 stars of "GOD'S HAIR" are Black men, the "quiet storm" of the movie is the little boy's mother---who will be breathtakingly beautiful and the only character in the film who cannot speak English----it's through her image the audience will actually FEEL mystery and Africanness (and for blacks---a connection to the myth).

I'm definitely moved by the BIGNESS of moviegoing. Screen, sound and all. I can enjoy movies on TV. But if I REALLY want to see something, I won't wait for it airing Pay-per-view or HBO.
I'm big into the posters too. They're like a separate artform all unto themselves. A great poster can sell a movie better than almost anything else.
Your comment about Morrison is interesting. Because I try to read things on my PDA. Drives me nuts having to constantly scroll shyt. But I want to get comfortable with it because then I can enjoy being able to read +100 books, newpapers or magazines wherever I go. |

That would help her songwriting career.

ABM, when you see the WAY that it's presented (EBONY-goddess), you will be amazed at how successful it is with Black Americans.
It's like when you read "Flesh and the Devil"---it snuck up on you, it was natural to you, you never felt any AVERSION to the idea of the African goddess Ife Ife in the book---you even felt desire for her.
It simply hasn't been presented ABM.
And it hasn't been presented by someone who BELIEVES it. That's what it takes, it can't be fake.
It will be embraced.

The above B.S. is one of the reasons why I've been avoiding this board as of late. It was bad enough with that phony Nigerian dumbfuck Lola/Lolo/Igbogirl, but Kola's return, and all of her childish melodrama is just too much. People forget that this is suppoed to be a discussion board, and not a projection screen for Kola's wildly inflated ego.
I find it hard to understand why it took Tonya so long to see through this fraud. I know she wanted to believe Kola's crap was real. But Kola is such an outrageous blowhard that even her most slavish followers will eventually put two and two together and see her for what she is. Her Sudanese birth, the Gisi-Waaq Oromo ancestry, the affair with Osama Bin Laden, the party-girl in Marrakesh crap, the death of her parents, the adoption by UNICEF, all those films she made, The New York Times flim-flam, the FBI flim-flams, Days of Our Lives, booktours, etc, etc., etc.--all lies.(Well, maybe she DID grow up in South East.) Kola sees herself as one way and virtually the entire universe(except for retards like Kam Williams and Keith Boykin, and Boykin's case, it's probably just a gay thing)sees her as another. Kola won't admit it, but everybody LAUGHED so hard at her "Diary of a Lost Girl" that it was yanked from the shelves. You can't find it on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or anywhere else. (No, wait--it was sold out.) Google Kola's name and most of the references about Kola outside of the most crackpot Afrocentric websites are negative and derogatory. Negative, because her stories are ludicrously unbelievable, taken out of her ass, etc. And let's not get started on bad grammar, typos, etc.
Kola should have learned that if you want to create a phony personality, you have to make it look real. Who in hell is going to believe that any man, let alone Osama Bin Laden, would want to fuck her? This is why she kept posting these revolting pics of her crusty, ashy buns on this site--in the hopes that some wussy would email her for sex. Anybody could see this. I've been to dozens of message boards over the years and Kola is the only one who even bothers to do this shit. The pictures are a plea for help. SOMEBODY, PLEASE RING ME UP!!
Unfortunately, most of us out here who have even half a brain can see where she's coming from.

Kola's autobiography "Diary of a Lost Girl" has been purchased by a larger publisher--SEABURN PUBLISHING GROUP. It will be re-released in hardcover in two weeks, but you're right, it did sell out which is what prompted the buy out.

For all the tedious and endless self-promotion Ms Spoof has undertaken, her book really should have caught the eye of Penguin or Simon & Schuster or Harper Collins etc. Presumably they didn't consider Kola's crap to be of a high enough quality. |

Or maybe Kola has a rule that her autobiography can only be published by "African" publishers (black owned)--such as the Nigerian married couple that owns "SeaBurn Publishing Group"--and maybe Kola is indeed signed to Simon and Shuster and Time Warner (Warner Books) for her other book releases this year.
I have heard the term "crabs in a barrel" about blacks treatment of other blacks but this is the clearest example of it I've ever seen in my life.
If anyone is a "Liar" it's the long list of people on this board who lie on Kola and that's the truth. This guy just claimed that she never worked for "Days of Our Lives" and she was lying about that. HA!

What planet do you live on, Kola? You said that they would cast a beautiful, young, SLENDER woman as his mother. You do not fit THAT description. Plus, as we all know, women as dark as you (and I) are rarely cast in big Hollywood roles. It rarely gets any darker than, say, Gabrielle Union. I wish I had some of what you're smoking!! |
