I am losing weight!!!  Getting toned up. Now a size 8.
Notice MY NOSE is still fat. LOL
Oh well...there goes the nose job rumors.
Soon...I will be pretty enough to go on
TELEVISION.

And as you know, I'm reading your book. I think it should be required reading for all Americans. The information that you provide should be known to all Americans. No wonder why so many white folks are interested in your book. It's not just Bin laden, either. You capture a lot of the stuff that the media refuses to cover about that part of the world. Was that your intent?
Anyway, your book has something for everybody. You suffered a lot but your suffering, in a way, has blessed us all, even white people. And of course, you haven't forgotten us Sistahs. (What an amazing way to have our story heard.) |

I'm only going to be on Firpo Carr's show for 1 hour (4-5 pacific) 7 pm-8pm eastern
Sunday Feb. 12th--Los Angeles--"Firpo Carr Show"-- 4 pm to 5 pm (that's 7pm Eastern)....AirAmerica AM 1150.
Reason Why:
**I was supposed to do 24 minutes on Alvin Jones XM SATELLITE radio show today, but I ended up being on the show for 2 hours, 30 minutes !!!----so my voice needs a rest.
I'm on for an hour in BUFFALO on Monday morning:

I had to do it! People HAVE GOT TO read this book. I just hope libraries get their own copies, because I can't imagine too many people donating their books.
I'm keeping my book so that my son can read it (when he's MUCH older). |

What a hard day.
I've spent most of the day being attacked at a luncheon by "White Women With Voices"--the same local group who attacked me in Sister-2-Sister magazine.
Of course, I won.
But it still hurt to be at a black function with wall to wall black people and to have to comandeer a microphone by myself against 16 irate white women.
Sadly, I think black men enjoy watching these kind of public womanist race fights.....and because I am African, most AA women aren't sure whether they identify with me or not.
But I won.
It's just that...I'm getting old and weary. And I put my soul in this book, and I'm very serious about it.
I feel that I've really given of myself.

P.S.
I feel so drained.
But I did sing "My Breasts Are Filled With Milk and Honey" in Arabic (without my weak high pitch voice cracking, LOL ) and there were 2 North African gentlemen there who cried when I sang it.
I got a HUGE box of Valentine Candy from the Keidi and Jamaal, the men who hosted me the other day.

But I want to get very thin again, because that's how I was most of my life and with my great height, it's just much easier for me to move and navigate if I'm thin.

I expected you to have an accent, too--but nothing. You sound completely American. I also expected you to have much deeper voice (not masculine, just deeper) and to be much more aggressive/demanding in your speech pattern. However, you were quite the lady. Your speaking tone and writing tone are totally different. I found that interesting. |
