I havne't been around since Karl Rove took over as presidnet so I'm sure this is old news. Can someone confirm or deny that AALBC.com is accepting money for writing critical book reviews? |

Last I heard, money was being accepted. I personally think it's a good idea because the marketplace is flooded with new books and new authors (thanks to subsidy and self-publishing) who need reviews. There's no way reviewers can handle all the requests for free. Of course, my opinion is biased because I also accept a small fee to review books and to write press releases for authors. It's all about supply and demand. |

Personally, I see nothing wrong in charging to write book reviews. Call it a donation to keep the web site up so people read your review. I have a few friends who write them and do computer on air interviews and I know they are overwhelmed with FREE request.
