Someone sent me this in an email.

Hilary Clinton running for President with BARACK OBAMA as her running mate in 2008?

2008

I know Chris Hayden would have already warned me about this!

Clinton, Obama, Vilsack - Republican Offers Lessons on Taking the Heat (washingtonpost.com)
Three tiny bits on three high profile Democrats in this Washington Post selection.

First, some interesting news for Hillary fans, worrying that the New York Senator might not have access to the levers of power within the Democratic Party now that Howard Dean is chairman. Her former deputy press secretary from her days as first lady, Karen Finney, is the new appointment as communications director for the DNC. When she gets there, she will find fellow Clinton White House staffer Mike Gehrke, recently appointed as DNC Research Director.

Many Democrats are very excited by the career prospects of Barack Obama, and there's certainly no shortage of people who will sell you 'Obama 08' merchandise, even though the Senator is just two months into his first term in the Senate. Nonetheless, Mr Obama is wasting no time getting onto the national stage - he has started his own political action committee. "This is so cool," an Obama aide is quoted as saying.

Finally, also on the PAC-forming trail is Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack. Mr Vilsack has also recruited former Democratic Governors' Association executive director B J Thornberry to run the PAC.

Kola,

GOD I hope Obama does NOT run second banana to Hillary.

He's stronger than her in his own right. Any association with that Clinton mess can only hurt his eventual attempt at the presidency.

Abm:

Yep. Obama needs to keep his distance from those awful Clintons. They will cross him out and throw him to the wolves like they do everybody else.

Kola:

I guess we can look forward to 8 more years of Republicans if this is all the Democrats can come up with. Really. When those attack dogs and Rush Limbaugh start going off about having Bill up in the White House again it is going to be awful.

Nobody has told those idiots they are in a war yet, have they?

Chris,

To be HONEST, I think I might vote for GOP's Arizona Senator John McCain over ANYBODY, Donkey and Elephant.

Because I figure any GOP who's got the stones to at least attempt to act independently of the Bush juggernaut might actually do what's RIGHT for the ENTIRE country; Whites, Blacks, Browns and Yellows.

I'm not looking to argue. But if you can, tell we why I should NOT do that.

Look at it like this, Chris. If Hillary and Obama run and are elected, all somebody has to do is assassinate Hillary, thereby killing 2 birds with one stone. Headlines: Newly-sworn-in president leads a grieving nation in prayer. Sub-headline: A person of interest is in custody and being interrogated about the brutal slaying. Taliban web pages report that alleged suspect has Iraqi ties, noting that Osama really digs Obama.

OMG, ABM!!!!

I love John McCain.

IF (and that's a monumental IF) I was going to vote for a Republican, it would be him.

Cynique---

OSAMA would laugh with "cynical" joy if OBAMA were to end up President, although, Osama would still refer to him in Arabic as "monkey boy" and "nigger".

___________

GUESS WHAT?

I found pictures of the Ashanti King and Queen,
a NUBIAN Queen, one of the Kings of Nigeria
and other African Royalty. I POSTED IT in
this new link of photos from Africa:

Kola,

I regret he may yet prove me wrong. But I view McCain to the anti-Bush.

McCain even had the stones during the 2000 GOP Primary to call out the religious right wackos though, alas, that's largely why Bush claimed the nomination (silly him to actually believe America promotes separation between church & state).

I've gottah dig a (White) man who ain't afraid of staring down the (White) Jesus-Is-4-Nazi's freaks.

PS: I'd LOVE to hear tortured war hero, ex-POW John McCain's REAL opinion about our current draft-dodging, reservist AWOL'er 'Commander and Chief' Bush.

Well, ABM...let's hope McCain doesn't start showing his ass. I like him.

And yes, I've always seen him stick it to his own party.

Kola,

I know I sound like his apologist. But I think McCain's at times, though not always, tows the GOP Party line to survive the Bush political tidal wave. I think his overrall voting/advocacy record differs substantially from that of Bush's most ardent supporters. And, perhaps, that separation will grow when Bush-backing is no longer as politically expedient.

I HOPE.

Hi ABM. :-)

What are you doing up?

Oh, that's right. You own your own business.

You better be careful. People might start to suspect that you're really a Republican.

LOL

Fell asleep early in the evening now can't go back to sleep. :-)

I'm not especially obliged to the Democratic Party. I truly believe it's best to vote for the person who asserts the best interests of ALL the people.

Because if White foks are struggling, Black foks will too.

Also, I find it ineffectual to remain inured to any particular party line. There are indeed some elements within the Democratic (and Republican) platform that require some updating.

Because the needs of a people/society change.

Well, ABM, for reasons like "abortion" and so on....I'm a STAUNCH Democrat and a liberal one at that.

But my Adoptive father is a Republican and so is my brother, the brain surgeon.

Kola,

I wouldn't allow Abortions be the pivotal issue of my party affiliation. Abortion's here to stay regardless of who's in DC.

Because foks might put on a public face. But let one of Bush's daughters gets raped and impregnated and see what THEY do.

And it's for that very basic, private inclination that you'll NEVER have a Congress or Supreme Court have the guts to attempt to materially reverse or overturn Roe vs. Wade.
