Well,
they call me the "daughter of Chinweizu"....but the fact is,
I might become his wife.
THAT IS...if I can get him to drop his ridiculous insistence that he's a "Confirmed Polygamist".
Our love affair began the day I sent him a letter saying: "FUCK BLACK MEN!"
We started corresponding and have been FASCINATED by one another every since.
For those who don't know who Chinweizu is.....he's one of NIGERIA's leading intellectual Scholars....his acclaimed books were edited by TONI MORRISON (how anyone can endure that, I don't know--but Chinweizu loves her!)...although he hasn't published anything new in nearly a decade.
Noam Chomsky is a HUGE "Chinweizu" fan.
His books are ACADEMIC, POLEMIC--brilliant journals about the history of Africa, the evils of tribalism and the consequences of White Supremacy.
Chinweizu is far worse than me, however. He's a Separatist (wanting nothing to do with the WHITE or ARAB races)....and he not only wrote an entire book detesting Wole Soyinka's Nobel Prize---but he also wrote an entire book denouncing "Feminism" and claiming that a "Men's Liberation Movement" needs to be started for African men---because they suffer from the OVER BEARING SEXIST dominance of African women.
He's extremely controversial...and only recently was allowed to LIVE ONCE MORE in his native NIGERIA.
He's an "Igbo"---Nigeria's lightskinned tribe.
He's never been married and has no children.

Seriously. I'd certainly like to read his works about "tribalism". Because I think that THAT is amongst the greatest enemies of Black people. Moreover, I ponder were their less such whether African would have been pillaged, raped and enslaved to the degree/manner that we have been. |

There is NO WAY that he and I shall be married.
But I do admitt that if he were slightly different, I would love to be his wife just for the masterful and playful conversations we have and for his generosity of spirit. He is very LOVING to be such a sexist pig.

I find it interesting that you often complain about rampant sexism against African WOMEN while Chinweizu denounces "'Feminism' and claiming that a "Men's Liberation Movement" needs to be started for African MEN...".
Do you have utterly antithetical views in this regard? Or is there some agreement between you to in these matters? |

Is he so innured in his machismo that he's blinded to the notion that by subjugating women, he's effecting reducing by at least HALF Black Africa's chances to overturn the White, Arab and Asian onslaught?

No, because Chinweizu sees me as the "Queen" in African culture. The woman who leads the other women---and therefore the woman who is spared being the doormat like the others.
To Chinweizu, the QUEEN is to be "mated with" to produce progeny---but never married. She is to be allowed a place of RULER-ship.
I don't see myself that way at all.
But that's how we get along.
We rarely discuss "Sexism"--
and Chinweizu is a total SEPARATIST, whereas I am not.
I want to marry him, because he's so brilliant, so prestigious in the Canon of World Letters, so handsome and sexy and so MANLY.
But as with most men I feel most infatuated with---he's a sexist pig.
