My stomach is FULLL of butterflies---
because a very big part of me does not want Michael Jackson to go to prison.
And although I believe he's guilty of SOMETHING---I just don't believe this accuser and I despise the mother's history.
Michael needs his ass whipped for being a fool and for betraying our people.....but I am not convinced that he's a child molestor.
My INSTINCTS are just not picking it up.
There, I've said it.
BUT OF COURSE--we're all entitled to our opinions.

I'm so tired of talking to this man. You all know that no matter what happens with this trial, he ain't right in the head. (Both.)
And part of that "ain't rightness" has to do with his...relationships with young boys. If he gets off (oops, oh well, stand by pun) then him and all y'all other supporters need to move to a deserted island where you can "share a bed" with unrelated children to your hearts' content.

I just feel VERY sad is all.

I am very strange in this way.
I just know that I will cry and be very upset if Michael is sent to prison.

Michael is probably gassing up his private jet and preparing to leave the United States. Maybe he'll join Roman Pulanski in Europe. I'm with Kola. Although I think he did something in the past, I think the current case was a sham engineered by the boy's mother and I'm glad the jury saw through it. I'm just glad the jury was White and Latino so they can't "blame" it on black folks and minorities like they did during the O.J. fiasco. |

I think Michael was guilty of thinking that rules didn't apply to him. But the toll this trial has taken on him and his reputation and his career is punishment enough. He probably should get castrated, because he obviously isn't interested in women, and he needs a little plastic surgery done on his balls to neutralize his interest in young boys. |

I am so happy I didnt engage in the Michael bashing. I knew Michael wasnt guilty and would be found innocent. I believe that Micheal is a big baby who looks at children as peers. I think we could have worse behavior from a man who pays for children to receive the best medical care money can buy. If I have a "problem" with Micheal is that I havent seen enough black children but that is no indicator as the press concentrates on these white boys. Michael is eccentric not a pervert. He grew up so very different than most children. He is only trying to recoupe some of his childhood and all this country wants to do is make him a freak.

Lily, if Michael went to prison, there would still be a media circus. Everyone would talk about his sentence, his jail cell, is he getting special treatment. The list goes on and on. Remember the Martha Stewart fiasco? I believe we still live in a country where you're innocent until proven guilty, and a jury of Jackson's "peers" found him not-guilty. Nobody said justice was fair, they just say it's blind. |

I think it's unfair to ask me what "kind" of "brother" does it for me. I'm married to ONE black man.

The information allowed defence lawyers to argue that someone other than Blake, who was charged with killing her, had a motive. Moreover, the details gave jurors a reason to dislike the dead woman.
Mesereau wanted a repeat performance, and he gave his investigator a simple, blunt instruction, Ross recalled yesterday: “I want you to do to [the mother of the alleged victim] what you did to Bonny Lee Bakley.”
Yesterday, as the Jackson jurors talked about their deliberations, they made clear how well Mesereau’s strategy had succeeded.
“What mother in her right mind would… just freely volunteer your child to sleep with someone, and not so much just Michael Jackson but anyone, for that matter? That is something mothers are naturally concerned with,” said juror number 10, a forty-something mother in business attire.
Mesereau’s strategy triumphed. But ironically, it was a decision by prosecutors that made it possible.
Rather than file a narrow case against Jackson that would have turned on only the testimony of Jackson’s youthful accuser, Santa Barbara county district attorney. Tom Sneddon gambled that a broader indictment would have a greater chance of success. The indictment included a conspiracy charge centring on accusations that Jackson’s aides had conspired to kidnap the mother and keep her at Neverland, the star’s ranch.
“The prosecutor went for every strategic advantage. He thought he could broaden the case with the conspiracy charge,” said Loyola Law School professor Laurie Levenson. “By doing that, he made the mother the focus of the case, and it backfired on him.”
Analysts yesterday called Sneddon’s decision a fundamental miscalculation.
Because Sneddon put the mother on the stand, Mesereau was able to give the jury the allegations that Ross and other investigators had dug up: that the mother had committed welfare fraud, that she had lied in a previous civil suit, that she had left Neverland to get her legs waxed at precisely the time she later claimed she was being held at the ranch against her will.
“The mother was the weakest link in the case. She was walking, talking reasonable doubt,” said Levenson, a former federal prosecutor.

First. Maybe you foks in LaLa Land have different dictionaries than those most other people use. Because if this is intended to be a "dedication" to Janet, I'd hate to observe an estrangement.
Your friend Alicia is a bit vainglorious to say the least.
"I was revered as a superior defense attorney..." Really? Without a jurisprudence degree?
"I decided to become a legendary and cerebral radio talk show host." HAHA! Can there really such a thing?
Honestly, I've been looking for the section where she describes how she walked on water and parted the Red Sea (and, no, I'm not referring to one of her kinkier sex tricks).
She makes sweeping generalizations about assorted issues without tendering a shred of support (None of what she cites proves Mike to be a child molester.). And she does so in tritely predictable ways. Come on with the Amerikkka, "just us" tripe already!
The more Alicia exclaims her loathing for the legal profession and her happiness about not becoming an attorney, the more she sounds like someone who's hoping if she says something enuff maybe even SHE will begin to believe it.
MJ’s exoneration won’t affect the lives of Blacks one iota. The judge, jury, defense counsel and prosecutors were all WHITE. So how/why should/will Black foks catch any flak for this?
And Alicia makes these bizarre lapses and leaps of logic and chronology.
She spent her entire youth expecting to become an attorney. Yet she decides at 20 the law is evil. YET it takes another 4 years of her to avow not to attend law school. And she decided that based on, as best I could tell, Al Pacino's performance in "And For Justice All"?
Also, why'd it take her 4 years to go from hating law to swearing off practicing it? Was this her 80's slacker phase or something?
And Mike Tyson’s biting off Evander Holyfield ear does NOT in ANY way prove him to be a rapist. That proves him to be a CANNIBAL.

Men and Women are both human beings. However, we have different energies and principles, that when governed properly, compliment one another. Unfortunately, many people, both male and female, do not "train" their children properly. Therefore, I, without reservation, can "excuse" myself from the evil that men do--especially when they are not my own male children that I didn't train.
I definitely believe that people of various races/colors can have meaningful relationships, however, I think most of these relationships tend to be quite "surface." Now, I'm no one to judge you and how you REALLY think. From what I have read here though, I sense that with the WW you have say you have "good" relationships with, I'm sure you think they want you in some kind of way....that they are "curious" about you.

It should be pretty obvious that I'm not blaming you PERSONALLY for crimes that have been committed by other foks children (Though, THAT sounds very similar to what A LOT of White's attempt to do to excuse themselves from bearing responsibility for hate/racism perpetuated by other Whites.).
I'm speaking in a macroscopic sense. Men are born to and often primarily nursed/bred/raised by WOMEN. I don't think you can separate that aspect of our acculturation from some of the wrongs that some of us commit.

I don't think we're disagreeing. But I want to make the point that if you show me a kind man, I think there's a better than even chance I can show you his kind mother.
I admit I have SOME stereotypical views about WW (as I'm sure I have such about BW). But in TOO many instances, I've observed my stereotyping validated.
I have on NUMEROUS occassions had women plead me into their beds PRIMARILY because they were hell-bent on boning a Black dude.
And that's kinda difficult for BW to compete with.
Because not only is she competing with the iconography of the WW within the BM. She's competing with iconography of the BM within the WW.
To a BW, a BM is just a man, warts and all. But to SOME WW, at least early in their IR dating, a BM is some life objective or quest.
And, NO, I am NOT referring to ALL WW. And am not sure how many qualifies as such.
Still. I'll also say this: I think it is ENTIRELY possible for BM and WW and WM and BW (and any other such combinations) to have authentic, committed relationships and marriages. And I'd NEVER intrude upon anyone endeavoring to pursue such.
I'll try, difficult that it may be to appear a little less..."smart". The "piggy" thing, though, you'll have to learn to live with.
