I was just on a website for actress Kerry Washington and it's been rumoured that she is engaged to White actor David Moscow...someone posted a couple of pictures of them together at different events and almost every Black male on the board started getting really nasty, talking about slavery and some other stuff, calling her names, really being childish. As Black Woman that dates different races, I have witnessed the anger and contempt firsthand that some Black men display when they encounter a BW/WM/HM couple. Now..I know that some Black Women may roll their eyes, or stare when they see a Black Man with another race of female, but I don't think they go to the extremes BlackMen do...I have seen Black Men become violent toward other races of men with Black Women. Why is it alright for a BM to date/ marry other out of the race, and not Black women? mature comments please |

Number 1...SEXISM. Males are "entitled", females are "traitors".
And, of course black men are selfish.
They feel that because the White man raped and mutilated black women slaves for 400 years---and HUNG black men from trees for even looking at a white woman...
...that they should now be able to chase, romance and idealize white women, and in turn, receive STATUS and Validation through being paired with the white woman, because the WHITE MAN has identified her as the TROPHY of the world.
But in doing this, you're right---they don't care how they hurt black women (which is really the ONLY people who they hurt).....and they ENJOY the desperation and insecurity that they instill in black women by excersizing these rights. They enjoy the NEW IDEA that it's the Black Woman---and not them----who is the "nigger" and "black stain" that must be avoided at all costs.
They see the White woman as PROOF of their "humanization" status and they see her as making their mixed kids---Human beings.
SO...
when a black woman chooses to date Non-black men or to become a Lesbian---they get angry, because they KNOW the truth is.....the Black Woman is their natural mate and is THEIRS, the one woman on earth who knows them, loves them and is devoted to their struggle.
When they take her for granted, it never occurs to them that they could lose her.
And although White, Asian and Latin women betray them at every turn.....they expect it from those women, but not from the black woman.
They become violent, because they feel that it's THEIR TURN to woo and love white women while black women stay ALONE and suffer the humiliation of watching.
It never occurs to them that after 400 years of being raped, unprotected and MAID to the WHITE WOMAN.......the best of the black women can't tolerate such a position and see it for what it is.....the ULTIMATE Betrayal.

The bad thing is that Black men are INFANTILE and unable to strategize or see the whole picture clearly. They not only betray the black woman---but Dehumanize and Villify her----reenacting the treatment they saw the White Man give her during slavery.
Black men believe in the black woman's inferiority and believe that they can COME BACK and get her whenever they wish.
It never occurs to them that she could truly HATE them or that they could LOSE her.
In their mind---"Where would she go? No one else wants her. She's nothing."
That's really how they think. Because they are the White man's "creation". They are NIGGERS. They believe in the White man and believe that the way to compete with him.....is to become him.

I agree one should feel free to date/love whomever they want. And ANYONE, Black men included, who intrude upon such should be castigated and, if necessary, prosecuted.
But Black men are not unique in regards to the problem you cite.
In fact, I wager that in MOST parts of the US, White men are more likely to attack BM/WW couples than will Black men attack WM/BW couples.
And I think there are more than a few WW who would beg to differ on your view that BW don’t respond as vilely to their having BM mates.
You can hate the hater if you want. But ultimately the hate itself prevails above all its emissaries.
Btw: I LOVE me some Kerry Washington. I can stare at that luscious mouth of hers all day long (Oh...I like her acting too...Hehe!). Here’s at least one Black man who hopes she’s happy with the White dude.

Wow....I never thought of it like this but everything you say is true and right on the mark.I used to think there was a curse on Black Women because we have such weak men in our race, but I finally realized that the only way to break the curse is to get away from it..and since I have done that im much happier, I still have Black Men that are friends, but I don't really believe I could have a relationship with one...ever. I think I did say in my original post that Black Women may roll their eyes and such, but I've never heard of Black women attacking non-Black Women for being with a Black Man.I and some friends of mine were chatting with two White guys at a Black club once and the Black guys started to threaten them and the owners of the club made them leave......there was an attack on a White cop and his black girlfriend in New jersey that made the news awhile ago......a White rapper from the south was beaten up by Black men for having Black girlfriends..he was doing real good and after that happened he hasn't really put anything out..fyi..im not talking about what White men's actions when they see a BM/WW couple, im talking about BM/BW reactions. Oh..you say "I sure hope we get to keep our d&*%s"......do you really believe that myth? |

I think that a lot of BW in ir relationships would disagree with you. I really don't like when BM say that because it's like they believe that BW can't have a satisfying sex life with any other race, and we all know that's just not true. I think it's a overprocessed myth that people need to get over. |

No one has said that some White men don't have "big dicks".
I've had ever race of man and traveled this planet. I've seen thousands of Arab men bathing in the Nile---a lot of them had big dicks. But nowhere near as big as the Dinka and Nuer pure blacks of that same region. White "authentic" Jews in Israel have very big dicks. Iranian men and LATIN men have very big dicks. But still not in the NUMBERS that Black men do. For every 300 White men---maybe 30 will have big, long thick dicks. But for every 300 black men---about 150 will have big, long thick dicks.
Black Men, by ratio, have BIGGER dicks than white men. That doesn't make them better lovers, it just makes them more hung. And in general----dark black women DO produce naturally athletic, very well built sons. They come out muscular, and the dark daughters are very well built too.
And S2S, you did not mention anything about BW being "sexually satisfied". So no one responded to it. You really did not "specify" what you were talking about. You simply said it's a MYTH that black men have large penises.
LASTLY:
**The bigger the dick--the longer it takes for blood to fill up and create an erection. Which is NOT GOOD, because a man with 12 inches can NEVER achieve the stiff hard-on that a man with 8 inches can. It's the HARDNESS that pleases a woman.

My understanding is that most American women enjoy getting ATE OUT more than penetration.
So WHITE MEN very often satisfy women "MORE" by being the best pussyeaters. At least this is a "myth" that women of all races seem to promote.
I personally have had White men lovers who were EXTRAORDINARILY good in bed using their penis. I was extremely satisfied. And when White men are with black women---they do tend to work harder at showing off.
I've personally experienced White and especially LATIN men to be VERY GOOD in bed.

There are MANY manifestations of hate, some overt, others less so.
Yes. Men in general are more violent than men. So, yes, perhaps BM are more inclined to attack IR couples then do BW. But that does not mean BW are any less hateful of IR couples.
Girls, in general, are just less likely to 'hit'.
And, I repeat, WM are BYFAR at the top of charts of IR couple bashing. There STILL are major sections of the US where Black men will think double-overtime before they dare date WW. Nationally, only about 10% of married BM have non-BW wives.
I agree that sex can be satisfying with/across the racial divide. If some brothahs are especially turned on by Hispanic women, why can't BW have similar feelings for Hispanic men?
But we all have certain 'preferences', some of which naturally might be based on familiar or similar physiology.
And you can't fault a brothah for prefering his (Kola) "cake baked".
I find your comments about having BM friends...INTERESTING.
Because I have many BW who are friends. And I imagine that under a different set of circumstances, I could have fallen in love with and married a few of them.
I guess I feel such in large part because we're...friends.

Kola...basically what im saying is that the whole big d**k issue regarding BM is overdone, in my opinion.There are plenty of other men that are just as well endowed as BM...plain and simple.I and many other BW who date or marry other races are almost always told by BM that ''they'' can't satisfy you like a BM can, it's silly but true. |

I don't think ABM was excusing "violence" or saying that it's OK. He's not like that.
He was just trying to point out (and very well, I might add) the reasons that MALES are more apt to react with physical violence than females are.
And of course---there are definitely times when women react VIOLENTLY towards interracial couples, because I myself have become physically violent with at least 3 interracial couples---and although I claimed it wasn't because they were IR, the fact that they were played in a huge part in my irrational behavior and my ugly acting out.
IT FELT GOOD AS SHIT, too.
The bottom line IS
--people are "possessive" of things that they feel they have ownership over or things that are "God-given" or part of their "territory".
It's PERFECTLY NORMAL, although it IS WRONG and it is HYPOCRITCAL (Considering that black men routinely chase White girls)----it's human nature.
I have never shared the attitude that Black Americans have about WHITE MEN protecting their white women from unsavory "darkie" men---as an African, I always understood that jealous evil to be a part of ALL MEN's makeup. They're all like that over "THEIR WOMEN", although to much lesser effect in cultures and areas where they have been CONDITIONED that "THEIR WOMEN" are inferior and less than "THE MAN'S WOMAN".

As for having Black Male friends....
THOSE OF US who've had real love and long lasting relationships know very well that "Friendship" is the main ingredient to a burgeoning, lasting, healthy relationship.
So I agree with ABM. If you're able to build "friendships" with black men, then it stands to reason that LOVE and companionship could evolve out of one of those friendships and that you may be forced to eat your words later about leaving all black men behind.
MOST EVERY black male I know who has made the statement----"I wouldn't be with a black woman"-----don't speak speak to black women on the street let alone allow "friendships" to form, and you will notice many black men who will not have close "friendships" with darker, nappier females for this very reason-----friendship, between males and females, is often the groundwork for a romantic relationship.

You should recall I said those who bash IR couples should be castigated, even prosecuted. Thus, I don't see where/how I'm excusing brothahs of wrongdoing.
I, however, was addressing the finer point you appear to be making, that BM seem especially/uniquely hateful of BW dating non-BM.
My point is essentially that although SOME BM appear more inclined to bash than do sisters (though I’m in no position to either confirm or refute such), the depth of the hate itself is not unique to BM. (As was, rather candidly, illustrated by our resident IR couple bashing moderator, Kola.)
I think the results of credible studies suggest that men of African extraction typically have proportionately larger penises.
(Even the racially-conflicted Tiger Woods once bragged that although he is mixed with White and Asian blood, the region below his navel was BLACK. How 'convenient' for him.)
Perhaps what’s really at issue here is whether the difference is so great that such result in a discernable difference in lovemaking.
Assuming the legend of the great Black d@#$ is authentic, does having an extra 1 – 3 inches patently improve one’s sexual prowess?
Perhaps. Perhaps not.
Ultimately, I think that’s all predicated as much on what people bring mentally/emotionally to the relationship as they do physically.
Thus, I should think if you’re happy with whomever you have sex with, you should NOT be bothered much about race-based phallic facts/fiction.
I wonder about the quality of the friendships you have with BM if you patently refuse to date any of them. Or I wonder about your friendship and/or dating criteria.

IMAN is like me. She's a black womanist and campaigner against colorism who got fed up with seeing EVERY BLACK MAN at the top paired with a Non-Black woman. She was beaten by her BLACK husband and viewed one too many of his indescretions. She, like Grace Jones, felt so disgusted by black men's intraracism that she lost respect for them. I'm in that same column, although, I come from a stronger constitution than they do.
Kerry Washington is a drone who believes in ASSIMILATION (Iman and Jones do not) and who casually talks about "black people" to pimp their heritage and make herself seem "weighty", yet doesn't know what one is and isn't the least bit concerned about the fact that they have to love each other in order to exist. You left out the part where IMAN had to watch every high profile black man she came across chase or pair up with a White woman.
You need to read her book. I think you will find enormous, although more suttle similarities between her thinking and mines. I, too, ABM, could end up married and pregnant by a White man in all seriousness.
It's just that I had something that Iman didn't have---THOMAS. You took the spousal abuse thing way too far. That was just a small factor.
IMAN also has "BLACK" children and you can be sure that HER IR daughter will be a hell of a lot different than Quincy Jones's interracial daughters---who BOTH married/dating White men, as did Harry Belafonte and Sidney Poitier's IR daughters---all married White men.
And apparently, 62% of Biracial women from WHITE MOTHERS--marry white men. But 91% of Biracial women from BLACK mothers---marry black men.
Interesting.
I don't like Kerry Washington.
It's like giving me a bowl of boiled water and saying, "How's the soup?"
There's nothing there but hot water.

I too recall seeing [Kidada] proudly admit to being engaged to Tupac prior to his murder.
Funny. I recall Quincy Jones mentioning that ‘Pac once confronted him about his Jones’ refusing to date/marry sistahs. Jones said ‘Pac back off though when Jones noted that ‘Pac himself was NEVER suffered a shortage of White groupies/hoochies himself.
I never witnessed ‘Pac’s counter to Quincy’s response.

And, I gottah be real with you, I feel about Lauryn Hill the way you feel about Washington. I think had she not hooked up with the more talented Wyclef Jean, we’d hardly know her.

I'm terrible at Math, ABM. I can barely add.
I seriously doubt I'll end up married to a White man, although I certainly could.
And as usual---I continue to be mistaken for someone who's AGAINST "interracial love" (which I'm not).....rather than someone who is against "black self-hatred", the modes and scopes of which are UNDENIABLY gigantic in the U.S. and have more to do with "rich" black people's mating habits than anything else.
As I've said before, you really don't see "Interracial Love" in the U.S. or Britain----what you see is an epidemic of black self-hatred and the lower rung whites Cashing IN on the best that black money/black looks/black coolness has to offer.
And I maintain that MANY black women of the "African look" find that no matter how successful they are---they really have no other choice than to marry White just to save face. Black men, who once claimed equality with whites, now OPENLY seek and believe in the superiority of White women and Bi-racial children, considering them "High class" and black children/women "Low Class"-----amazing how the slave master's brain is INSIDE the black man nowadays---therefore leaving women like Alfre Woodard and Grace Jones and Iman no choice but to settle with what they can LIVE WITH.
It's impossible, ABM, to marry men that you don't respect. And many times, I find myself ignoring black men in public areas simply because I have so little respect for them--because I see them as White Supremacists.

You're INSANE to claim that Lauryn Hill is less talented than Wyclef or to even mention Kerry Washington in the same breath as Lauryn Hill.
Some of the BEST songwriting I've ever heard was on Lauryn's last UNPLUGGED "CD"----the masterpiece that was a huge flop, namely because the people are CONDITIONED to reject that which strengthens them. Lauryn Hill is a GENIUS and she's a true black woman.
Kerry Washington is supremely "Neutral". One of those women who would casually throw on an AFRO with her pearl necklace and "white boys rock" inscribed panties.......because it was in vogue for the moment.

Yep, that's the big day.
But I'm on deadline for my LitMama column. It was due Sunday. Sigh...
I know what I want to write about. And I'm experimenting with form and know HOW I want to write it. And I've gotten bits and pieces written...but I am just so unfocused, and so not emotionally in the place I need to be to write this that I'm avoiding.
But tomorrow I will have a block of uninterrupted (mostly) time, and I'll pull the bits and pieces together and nail it. |

In the interest of completeness, I think it fair I admit to not being acquainted with any studies that prove Black women have plumper derrieres than nonBW, though I can’t for the life of me imagine that to be – by in large – untrue.

Her body is a work of art and is the healthiest, most nubile of all women---she needs no plastic surgery, the lips, ass, tits, cheekbones and hips come NATURALLY to her. Of course, they won't show you her unless she's a little girl or an old woman. Never show her from age 16 to 25.
