The other thread became way too long. So we're moving it down here.

IS MICHAEL JACKSON "guilty" or "innocent"?

We've had some FASCINATING replies to this topic, such as this one on the original thread by YVETTE PERRY

YVETTE PERRY wrote:

If anything comes out of this case, I hope it is a recognition of "child exploitation" as a crime. Many seem fixated on whether or not he "raped" any of these children. If he only did what he himself claimed he did: "share a bed" with these kids, then that is totally inappropriate. And most likely, criminal.

It's unfortunate that the prosecution likely thinks it can only get a conviction by accusing him of sexual molestation. That obscures a more nuanced crime that is probably closer to the truth. People get sexual and intimate gratification in all sorts of ways: Some of those people use children to achieve that gratification, intentionally setting up situations and environments where they can engage in contact with kids. Note: "sex" may or may not be involved in these interactions. (For example, the sexual release may come later, after the children are no longer present.)

In my opinion, the key to exploitation is: who is the interaction for? If a child is scared, and calls out in the night, and the adult sleeps with the child to calm his fears, then that situation is for the child. If the adult designs "sleep-over" parties, and invites children to lay on his bed to play video games, and then "accidently" falls asleep with the child, then it is questionable whose needs are being met.

I do not know which camp this case falls into. But the pattern of these "parties" definitely seems to me to be closer to the latter. But the inappropriateness (and, again, possibly criminality) of this may not ever be discussed openly because our culture is too fixated on the "sex" part.

And as to him getting more "color" in his life if he get through this one: Many folks said the same thing about Clarence Thomas and about OJ Simpson...

ASHERAH took a different position---seeing Michael Jackson as the "victim":

mj

ASHERAH WROTE:

I totally do not agree.
It's always easy to blame it all on the victim.
It's not because the majority shares the same opinion that they are right!

People like MJ who have a pure mind and always follow their HEART, do not conform to the rules, just because 'adults' believe that this is the 'good way'.

No, somebody who sticks close to his heart does not want to submit to the social rules made up by adults, because someone like MJ feels the distinction between right and wrong in his HEART and if the social norm implies someth else than what his heart is telling him, then he won't submit to that norm along with the crowd, because his pure intentions will not allow him to do so.

Moreover, adults don't even exist, because the true nature of a human being is that of a child. But since most people are cowards, as at one point in their life they give up their childhood and start living by society's social rules, they justify their manipulative behaviour by calling it 'adult'.
Maybe, these adults should rethink their social rules that they made up to justify their LACK of innocence and purity(which is the only true basis of real GOODNESS) and wonder why they are so obsessed with an 'adult' sleeping(read:SLEEPING, not 'molesting') with a child.

Recently I saw a documentary about MJ, 'what's going on in the mind of MJ?' the title already suggested what the underlying intention was (eventhough they claimed it was an 'objective' docu about him):breaking him off once again as the one who is sick in the head.

There was also this Diane Diamond that was interviewed; apparently a journalist..
I felt so angry after seeing and hearing her on the screen. (I read that site I inserted below, before seeing the docu and knew immediately it was THAT Diane already mentioned in the article) She's that typical parasite that injects her POISON into someone whom she knows has the whole world against him and is at his weakest moment, feeling defenseless because of all the shit he has been through and also because she KNOWS that he will never hit back like she does as he doesn't want to be that evil.

to get to know Diane D. a little better read this from http://www.mjfanclub.net/news/johnkarrys/dangerousliaisons.html:
..Is it not fascinating that no mainstream commentator has even dared to mention Diane Diamond’s suspiciously close relationship with Jim Thomas and District Attorney Tom Sneddon and her (World Wrestling Federation) spin- type of reporting? Like it or not, she has skilfully positioned herself as the key intermediary to the Michael Jackson case for those who believe he is guilty.

Now I have nothing personal against Diane. We all know of a Diane Dimond type in any work or social environment. The quintessential social climber, who is shrewd by serving the appetites of jealous and parasitic mentalities. And that’s okay, that’s her demographic, that’s the audience she is serving. But it is not legitimate journalism or a credible source of insight into the case against Michael Jackson.

However, this relationship has an uncanny resemblance with the relationship between mainstream media and ANY federal, state and/or local government. Most people know what to expect from a Fox News broadcast or a CNN Breaking News story. Their censors and editors, alike, give you just a little, so you come back for more. Sounds like a pusher, you say. What are we addicted to then?

Survey any show and it is Diane, wannabe Sawyer, Diamond who gives the initial account inside the court proceedings. From that point on, her account becomes the standard for the show or 10 minutes. It doesn’t matter whether it was the right account or the best one. It’s the first one. There is plenty of examples of traumatic historical precedence when there was an explicit self-serving relationship between the state and it’s press.
..

YVETTE PERRY said:

Reading back over these posts, I started thinking about Tevin Campbell. Anyone remember his case of soliciting an undercover outside of an elementary school a few years back? I can't remember the whole story, and obviously it did not get anywhere near the headlines MJ is getting.

Please note I am not equating pedophilia with being gay--the two are very separate things. And I do not know what the relationship is--if any--between people who are not free to develop their sexuality in a healthy way regardless of sexual orientation and people who prey on the weak for their sexual gratification.

But I am put in a mind of a kind of pattern here--I don't know if Tevin is gay, but if he is why is it that he figured it'd be safer (for his career, his life, etc.) to troll for sex from strangers and remain closeted than to just come out as a gay man and have normal relationships with other adult males though regular old dating? How would we (public, fans) have reacted to him then? Would we have supported him and his career? Has there ever been a Black, gay male who has had a successful career in R&B, hip hop, jazz, gospel as an out gay man?

Now, with MJ, I have made my views clear. I absolutely LOVE this man's talent (although I do feel Quincy Jones is not given enough credit for the success of his classic albums, but that's another story.) Like too many people in the entertainment industry, though, it appears that he put too much stock in the "adoration" of fans. By now anyone going into that business should know that any entertainer's time in the sun is going to be limited. I do not see people's "turning" on him being related to race, or some desire to hurt him personally. Elvis was probably the most beloved entertainer in White American history and look at how his public (besides a fan-atical core) turned on him in his later years.

Anyway, I've said all that I'm going to about folks' "support" of MJ now. Call me when you all get your personalized thank you card from MJ (and OJ, and Mike Tyson, and Kobe) in the mail. In the meeantime, like I said before, our prisons, foster care homes, homeless shelters, and crack houses are continuing to fill up with our sisters and brothers who have been victims of sexual abuse, rape, incest, and domestic violence. You want to feel sorry for and empathize with someone, consider thinking about them.

THEN me and ABM got into it:

KOLA WROTE:

mandelajackson

THIS ARTICLE is exactly why I can't stand Michael Jackson:

http://dailytelegraph.news.com.au/story.jsp?sectionid=1268&storyid=2878717

MICHAEL JACKSON TURNS TO NELSON MANDELA

CHICAGO: Michael Jackson yesterday insisted he was innocent of child molestation charges – claiming he is the victim of a conspiracy involving his valuable catalogue of music copyrights.

The pop star revealed he looks to oppressed black men such as former South African President Nelson Mandela for strength during his court case.

"Please be patient and be with me and believe in me, because I am completely, completely innocent," Jackson told fans during a radio interview with famed civil rights campaigner the Reverend Jesse Jackson.

"But please know a lot of conspiracy is going on as we speak."

"Mandela's story has given me a lot of strength, what he has gone through.

"I know in my heart and in my experiences in life that I am totally innocent.

"It's very painful, but this has kind of been a pattern among black luminaries in this country."

The star said he also drew strength from the life stories of other great black Americans including boxers Jack Johnson and Muhammad Ali and the Reverend Jackson.

The singer added his troubles were part of a dirty tricks campaign involving his 50 per cent stake in back catalogues of songs by the Beatles, Elvis Presley and Little Richard.

"It's a huge catalogue, it's very valuable and it's worth a huge amount of money, and there is a big fight going on right now as we speak about that," he said, adding he was not broke, as has been rumoured.

"That's not true at all. That's just one of their many schemes to embarrass me and to just drag me through mud."

"It's like a feeding frenzy, just because of my celebrity. The bigger the celebrity, the bigger the target."

Jackson, who denies charges of molesting then 13-year-old cancer patient Gavin Arvizo, plying him with alcohol and holding him and his family against their will, also spoke for the first time about his recent health problems, which have resulted in him being late for court.

"I was coming out of the shower and I fell on my body weight," he said.

"I'm pretty fragile. All of my body weight fell against my rib cage and I bruised my lung very badly. I'm in immense pain. I'm in agonising pain."

Bizarrely, he went on to say how he was in perfect health.

"But I do my very best," he said.

"I am eating, yes I am. I don't want anyone to think I'm starving. I'm not. My health is perfect, actually."

The radio interview was conducted under strict guidelines after a gag order was made by the court.

The week, trial judge Rodney Melville will conduct hearings about whether to admit evidence about previous sexual molestation claims against Jackson as prosecutors try to show a pattern of alleged abuse.

If he identifies so much with "oppressed" black men like Nelson Mandela....

....then why is he helping their Oppressors to breed them off the face of the earth?????

Why do his videos mainly show happy, dancing White Kids and Folks???

Why doesn't he publicly tell the African children to STOP taking the "Michael Jackson Skin Lightening" pill???

True parents and child advocates go through extraordinary means for the welfare of their children. Kola,

I find it interesting that you continue to bash MJ (Sidney Poiter, etc.), yet you've (conveniently) ignored responding to my "Kola's Quincy Quandary" thread.

Should we assume you have some special relationship with Jones that thwarts your speaking as candidly about him as you have REPEATEDLY done so about other Blacks who flout your definition of racial solidarity?

At this moment, I don't know where I stand.

But here was my ORIGINAL OPINION about the Michael Jackson case:

_____

I personally am not convinced that he's guilty.

PLEASE...hear me out.

I still am not convinced that the man is guilty of the charges of Molestation that are being brought against him.

I am a person...who...when in doubt, goes by her gutt feelings.

Despite the seemingly overwhelming evidence against him, there is something in my INTUITION that does not quite believe these allegations.

What do you think??? Am I wrong???

I’m happy to talk to you too. Destined, however, may take some convincing (HAHA!).

Funny you asked about cooking. Got fish, beans/rice, cornbread and lemon ice tea on the menu.

Your silence on the Quincy thing is ‘deafening’. Man. I know Quincy had some 'juice'. But I didn’t think that even he could cow the daring Ms. Kola Boof.

Kola,

I've yet to see/hear the prosecution provide any credible evidence of that Michael is 'guilty beyond a reasonable doubt'. All I've witnessed has been, at best, effete circumstantial evidence.

There's no real physical proof he had sex with the boys (e.g., proof of sodomy, semen, etc.).

The prosecution witnesses have been dreadful. And I distrust their testimony. They all appear to either have an axe to grind against MJ or stand to gain from his conviction. Plus, if his accusers were REALLY earnest they would have come forth with their claims YEARS ago.

But, having said that, I still am 50-50 on whether he's guilty or innocent. I really just don't know.

Now. Had the prosecution limited their charges to "reckless child endangerment"; given the (alleged) evidence of alcohol, pornography, sleeping in bed together, etc.; I'd be more inclined to find MJ guilty.

But that's not 'sexy' enough for the prosecution, because he'd at the very worst get minimal - if ANY - jail time. It would look bad for the DA to expend all that time/energy/money/attention only to yield only probation and a fine.

Thus I predict because of the pride/ambition of the the prosecution, innocent or guilty, MJ's going to beat the rap.

You make some good points ABM.

One thing that frustrates me in this case, is that I haven't been able to like the Mother or the Kids. They come off as liars who would say/do anything for a big Civil Suit Reward and they seem like such trashy people to me.

If you're going to pull off a heist (fleecing the Jacksons)--at least be damned smart about it. It really isn't that hard to do, because MJ sets himself up and leaves plenty of room for careful planning.

THEN AGAIN:

I do feel that MJ has been entirely "seedy" in having OTHER PEOPLE'S children stay over (and the fact that he wouldn't let them leave the premises--I believe that, because it happened to me with Osama---is the MAIN THING that makes me think he may have been "emotionally in love" with this young boy, even if he didn't committ sodomy or oral sex).

In trying to undersand "WHY" a 46 yr. old man who has 3 Children of his own----would have time to fly around the world with a whole other set of kids and to SLEEP WITH this boy Gavin

....is really disturbing and becoming harder and harder for me to rationalize.

Seeing JACKSON enter the court room each day with his "Black Mother"-----I guess he couldn't get LIZ TAYLOR to come each day-----just makes me quietly despise him all the more (I despise his mother for having 20 grandkids only 2 black--that alone speaks VOLUMNES to me "about her" and what she instilled in her Nose-cutting, Skin-lightening children). I also noticed he has a "black Nanny" for his children...yet all his Public Fancies with women have been WHITE.

Again---a black man making the statement that black women are good enough for "raising children"---but not worthy of love or marriage; not equal to the White Man's Mother (whose image Jackson immulates, upholds, promotes and idealizes).

I truly despise him and I no longer care what happens to him.

Kola,

Why SHOULD you be sympathetic of accuser’s family?

You can’t ‘make a silk purse from a sow’s ear’. Face it: This whole trial was precipitated because GREEDY foks were pursing MONEY...not justice.

The law prompted a criminal trial ensue from their initial civil charge. His accuser/family should blame their civil attorney (assuming they had one) for not warning them about the law and presented a deal to MJ on the QT

But maybe they did and Mike said f*#$ off. So, the only chance they had left to get paid was to formal file against him.

And remember: It's criminal court...not 'moral court'.

I concur the sleeping in bed with boys things is “seedy”. But can you (or anyone else) cite a specific state or federal law that prohibits such?

I can’t.

MJ’s defense is employing part of the OJ strategy: Bring you’re eminently charismatic/credible Black momma to court with you. It works because EVERYONE – White/Black – seem to want to ‘trust’ older Black women, especially if they present themselves well.

And Katherine Jackson is especially suited for such.

Because have you noticed that in spite of all the craziness surrounding MJ, LaToya and Janet over the years, the accusations of abuse, etc., Joe gets the blame BUT Katherine does not?

It's as if Katherine Jackson is the 'teflon mom'...nothing bad concerning her family sticks to her.

I’m through arguing about how anyone should ‘feel’ about MJ’s lack of racial fidelity. Because in spite of all that’s been alleged about him, all the whitening, etc.; I’ll probably always have strongly nostalgic feelings about Michael Jackson.

Katherine Jackson also elicits a certain amount of sympathy because Joseph "I look like the Joker" Jackson's indiscretions have been widely reported. I remember reading an account of her and a young Janet going to administer a beat-down to one of the Other Women.

Mah,

HAHA!

Yeah. Joe's got that shyster look, don't he?

But what I find sadly ironic about Joe is HE more than anyone else is the reason why we know anything about Michael, Janet, Jackie, Marlon...etc. to begin with.

In fact, you could argue that considering all that he trained his children to accomplish Joe Jackson is a eminently pivotal figure in modern American music/entertainment.

Yeah, Mah--I was inspired, after listening to "Human Nature" 5 times in a row, to listen to all my old school stuff on my computer. (Talk about technology...) Which put me in a mind to ask the question in the new thread I started...

"Human Nature" is OLD?

LOL

I love that song SOOOOO much. That one and "One Day In Your Life" and..."I Wanna Be Where You Are".

But anyway....

I listen to A LOT of "black music" from the 1920's and 1930's.

My sons are so into Louis Armstrong because of me. To them he's a cartoon character, they like to hear him at bedtime.

Has anyone heard this song by Grace Jones called "Victor Should Have Been a Jazz Musician"?

OH GOD I LOVE IT!!!

That bitch was bad back in her day---never got credit.

Last night, I listened to a WHITE GROUP all night long...."America"--their Greatest Hits CD.

That song "Ventura Highway" is a tie for my alltime favorite song, along with "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is" by Chicago and "Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong.

I loooooove OLD music.

Like "Love on the Tip of My Tongue" by Brenda and the Tabulations.

My FAVORITE Male singer of All Time---Al Green. (I listent to that song, "You Oughta Be With Me" on a constant!)

Just tipsy (having my vodka today since having a "date" over the weekend messed up my vodka night---and Thomas and his mom are coming for dinner with the boys, so I want to be QUIET and having a vodka will do that for me).

***talk amongst yourselves***

HI NYIBOL!!!!!!!

Did you hear the interview with my mom online?

I started to call you and I forgot.

One bad thing about the Government no longer protecting me---I no longer get unlimited Free Long Distance, which I had for 3 years. I could call and talk anywhere for hours and hours because the U.S. paid for it.

Now, I have to run my own computer by myself and pay phone bills!

Good lord.

Hi Kola !!

It's all good gf. I know you're strong and don't need no government to take care of you because God will! And being a black woman, that's a plus, LOL. You don't need their funds neither.. I know you can work for it, get you a family plan, get your kids cell phones too, hehe. It's good to hear from you. TTYL.

About "OLD" music...

Two of my favorite songs: "Forever Mine" by the O'Jays (my mom was a fan, and so I grew up on these guys), and "For the Love of You" (I swear, aside for that tax case he caught, Ron Isley has sold his soul to the devil; that man STILL sounds good).

And I love, love, love Joni Mitchell as a singer-songwriter.

Also, Nina Symone, Gladys Knight, Minnie Ripperton, and Roberta Flack

Kola,

I agree. "Human Nature" ain't HARDLY old skool MJ, at least by in my book.

Among my ol' MJ favorites are "Never Can Say Goodbye", "Who's Loving You", "Ben" (Yeah...I know he was singing about a rat), "...Where You Are" and "Got To Be There".

And my wife and I are BIG America fans too. Fantastic song writing!

Can you believe they're ENGLISH?

"Oz never did give nothing to the Tin man that he didn't...didn't already have." America's "Tin Man"

OH MY GOD!!!!!

"I'd rather be....liiiivvvvvinnnn....for the love....of yoUUUUUUUU

I LOVE THAT SONG. That's my FAVORITE!!

Mahogany. You got the taste, sista.

Girl, I love the Isley Brothers!!! Ronald Isley can sing his ass off!

I don't have any Minnie Ripperton, but I LOVE her voice and she has the prettiest "angel face" to me. She looks like my adoptive mom.

I have EVERYTHING by Gladys Knight, who is a Goddess to me. I also love and listen to Nina Simone "constantly". Only as an adult did I get into Roberta Flack---I love her now.

My favorite, for some reason, as a kid---was Diana Ross---because in Sudan, she and Muhammad Ali are like "Gods". I came here already familiar with Diana Ross (and in church, people said I sounded like her when I sang) and my parents raised me on Aretha Franklin and Patti LaBelle and Chaka Khan.

I think Joni Mitchell is a GENIUS. I like Carly Simon and Carole King a lot, too, from that era. Especially Carly.

Phoebe Snow was the shit too. "Poetry Man"~~~

At church, they always made me sing lead on "Fill My Cup/Let It Overflow", "Got Tell It On the Mountain" and an African song I taught the church, "Tumba".

ABM---

I love "America".

Who would ever have imagined me sitting up singing "SISTER GOLDEN HAIR SURPRISE" all night----a song that was just MEANT for me.

I...really....love their music.

NOW....what used to drive Thomas crazy, was when I put on my "Olivia Newton John". He can't stand that kind of singing/music. But I was a huge fan of Olivia and the Go-Go's.

I used to dance the shit out of "We Got the Beat" when I was a kid.

Kola,

I liked Grace Jones too. Sexy, strong, scary and feral. But her style, though appreciate by many, was a bit too ahead of the time. It she hit the sceen now, she'd be BIG star.

And I'm a BIG Satchmo fan too. My youngest daughter and I LOVE singing his "Hello Dolly" aloud. And she and my wife LOVE Barbara Streisand's movie version of "Hello Dolly" that includes a Satchmo cameo.

Louis Armstong is quite possibly the 20th Century most significant entertainer. When asked about Satchmo impact on his entertainment career, crooner/actor Bing Crosby himself said "If there were no him, there would be no me."

Trivia: Did you know that Maya Rudolph on "Saturday Night Live" is Minnie Ripperton's daughter?

I like Carole King and Carly Simon too.

Re: La Ross...I see her as more of a Personality than an artist, probably because her personal life and divadom overshadows her talent in my mind (but in a good way, in some respects: she's not called The Boss for no good reason). But, I have to give it up: she is a cultural force and The Supremes as a whole get mad props from me, even if they were not in control of their own destiny as a group.

Kola,

Was never much of an Olivia N. John fan. She was cute but too 'virginal' for my (prurient) tastes (ala a music version of Doris Day). And I wasn't much of a Go-Go's fan either...til I heard they made some kind of softporn movie. Hearing that kinda pique my interest in their music.

ABM, the Go-Go's venture into soft-porn was not a movie per se. Just some drug-and-alcohol fueled backstage/afterparty/hotel shenanigans caught on tape.

I used to live and breathe VH-1's "Behind the Music."

Belinda Carlisle's plastic surgery and chemical problems have left her looking like a stroke victim.

Oh God.

Why did ABM have to bring up Barbra Steisand?

And I've my vodka too!

Now I have to pull out "The Way We Were" and "Funny Girl" and put those on my bed to watch once it's late.

I really love Barbra Streisand---ESPECIALLY---because she kept her nose!!

this woman had the AUDACITY to keep her nose and not let them name her "Barbra Sands".

I just love her so much.

She's the JEWISH Kola Boof.

Let me go upstairs and get these tapes out.

She thought I was "Sheryl Lee Ralph" when I first came through the door---and said, "I loved you on MOESHA, you were so good in that."

LOL

"She's Outta My life" by MJ is one of the most poignant love songs of all times. And, y'all know ol Cynique was around to see "A-B-C" and "1,2,3", rocket The Jackson 5 to stardom, and was old enough to realize that they would have longevity in the show biz world. Poor ol Michael. I look at him and Prince. They used to be great rivals. Now, Prince just finished a successful anniversary tour, got a hit single on the Billboard charts, and hasn't missed a beat; and not only that, he still looks exactly the same. Michael has degenerated into a pathetic tragic figure, on the brink of financial ruin and personal disaster. What was the difference??? Prince was a freak in his day, but Michael is the result of a dysfunctional childhood. I wonder if everytime he snuggled up with a little boy, he was snuggling up with the child he never got to be. How will it all end???? Ya got me. But I will hand it to the Jacksons. They always seem to have each other's back, through thick and thin.

PRINCE....is vastly more talented than MJ, IMO.

Prince is a GENIUS and more original, although I always loved MJ MORE (until he turned white---which I could have accepted if he had been black inside to begin with). But now he's just 100% White woman. Yuck.

OOOPS...

I forgot to mention that I looooovvvvved Donna Summer.

Now she was the shit!

BUT...my autobiography reveals that "Madonna" was really my favorite singer of my generation---I was a "MADONNA FAN" of the first order----and after her, I loved Whitney Houston and Janet Jackson.

ABM---

I know you will kill me for this.

Contradictions, etc.

BUT "Phoebe Snow" was....(gulp)....a "black" lady to me.

I KNOW.
I KNOW.

My sister Spring teases me about it already.

Kola,

If you so much as mention Streisand in my home, my wife/daughter stop breathing.

Cynique,

Indeed.

Prince got started when he was older and could assume complete control over his music/persona. And he was not quite the superstar in the beginning, his stardom grew as he matured as performer and man.

However, Mike got started before, perhaps, he had a chance to mature enough to handle fame/fortune. But, at this point, that's all just hindsight.

Mah,

Mya's Donatella impersonation is almost of funny as some of Eddie Murphy's best SNL stuff.

I love these movies you're posting in the other board.

My friends worked on that gay one. And I'm really good friends with Keith Boykin--who is a close friend of all those folks.

Do you know Yvonne Welbon?

Did I ask you that before already?

I wish Thomas would bring my sons home and eat dinner so he can go home---so I can watch my Barbra movies and make believe that I'm Barbra and ABM is Redford.

Mahoghany---

Maya did "Donatella" at the party.

I had never seen the show, so I didn't realize it was a popular character already. But she was funny as HELL.

And she's soooooo sweet.

Did I mention that?

----------------

Oh you guys pray for me to sign with Warner Books so I can afford a little face work.

That's why I don't go to parties and refused the PEOPLE magazine profile.

I just don't look like Kola should look. Age is not being kind to me---in fact, he's over here beating my ass real good.

People expect me to look more like a Naomi or an Iman.

They even SAY THAT to me when I went to meet Halle Berry for the Fox Searchlight meeting about my life story. Halle Berry is so sweet. But This gay white guy was like---"I thought you would look more like Iman or Naomi."

You could see his disappointment.

SURE---I'm a literary writer. But I don't come from YALE or PRINCETON like the other ones. I come from "show biz". I was an actress. I used to be beautiful!!

I love that I had kids, don't get me wrong.

But sometimes having a man to feed and birthing kids---it just puts a big FAT horseshoe in the ring. I feel like Martha Stewart with braids.

I need to get a bigger book deal so I can get my looks together.

I should be prettier than this.

And you should have seen Charles on my date. Trying to convince me that I look good like I am.

Yeah. These men will say anything to get a kiss.

I don't listento men anymore. Shit I never di.

Goddamned fuckers.

ANd let me tell you something, too. You black American women need to SOTP taking this shit off these black men.

These motheruckers ain't shit! I don't know why you let them run you in the ground, the disrespect is moneotnemous.

I REFUSE.

I don't like how these black American men act AT ALL. Don ot put up with their bullshit. Get you a white man or a latin man if you have to. They don't deserve our loyalty. I'm sick of our men.

ANd the onesin Africa are WORSE. Dirty, fucnky motheruckers. I will tell you later.

Well. You know how I feel about the plastic surgery thing. But you're a woman. What the f*$% do a man like me know, anyway. So just be sure to use the most reputable Dr. you can afford. And if you get a bad sense about how things are going, pull out PRONTO.

Kola: You did mention that Maya was sweet, and you've asked me about Yvonne Welbon. I don't know her. I'm on a black filmmakers e-list, so that's where I get a lot of film stuff from.

About surgery...I think it's addictive, so tread carefully. And you might want to deal with what's going on inside, before taking a knife to the outside.

About black men...having been with the same good black man for 15 years (all of my adult life) and now newly single again, I must admit I'm in the honeymoon phase. Like a kid in a candy store (damned cavities!).

But seriously, in my short time Out There, I've seen a pretty broad spectrum of black men, and so far, I've only had to declare one full of shit (he thought I was a Booty Call, but found out he was the Maintenance Man and his fragile ego couldn't stand it).

But these men here. I don' tlike these fuckers.

Charles, my date, is very good black activist man. Very good. But too many women after him and he don't fool me. He want Kola pussy checked off.

I am moving to the south when I get money. I hate california. don't move out here.

Mah: Girl, choose the bottle or the keyboard, not both! LOL. I'm in Pittsburgh.

But if I were in L.A./Cali, I might feel a little different about image, yeah. I have a girlfriend in L.A. who is ready to move back East, to the South particularly.

Everybody's gone I see.

It was 6:58 pm when everybody was in here talking. Now you all gone.

OK. Go watch my Barbra movies. Nite-nite.

Abm:

You been taking Slick Willie Pills.

Sexual acts consist of more than genital genital or genital anal contact--there can be orgal genital, there can be hand to genitals, there can be oral to nipples, all kinds.

And you are supposed to be our resident sex expert. You remind me of the guy who was shocked when his wife got pregnant--

"Yeah, ah porked her but ah didn't yell "Shazam" an turn around in a circle three times!"

As for Jackson--when he stated on that film that he slept with little boys that was it for me--
at best it is inappropriate and at worst he is doing everything they allege--

How many 46 year old men would you allow to sleep with your little girls--"I ain't doing anything? Come on!"

I hope they throw the book at him but they won't--but if they don't get him this time they will get him the next because he is going to do it some more.

Chris,

If you carefully read my post, you might divine the central point I made was there’s scant credible PROOF that MJ committed the crimes he’s being charged with.

I might agree with you about what constitute molestation. I just don’t think the prosecution has convincingly asserted ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’ that such actually occurred.

And I repeat: Where’s the LAW that prohibit grown men from sleeping in bed with other people’s children? Perhaps such a law should be wrought. But I’m not aware of any that exists.

BTW: I have no need to take any “Pills”. My “Willie” is still pretty “Slick” au naturelle.

Chris,

HAHA!

It's interesting how fixated some of you are on the bedsleeping thing when what amazes me is in spite of all that's been ALLEGED about MJ no one's accused him of any hardcore 'jailhouse' type activity.

Doesn't have to be "tossin salads" or anything else "hardcore" to be child exloitation, abuse, or endangerment.

But again, the prosecution likely thinks this level of subtlety is out of reach for the American public.

And sadly, they are right.

Yvette,

I agree with you.

Perhaps the biggest mistake the prosecution has made is they've failed to clearly define molestation and delineate its harmful effects.

Thus, you've got clueless smoes (like Yours Truly) who are left to speculate what is 'it' and, thus, whether 'it' actually occurred.

I think they assumed their witnesses combined with an assortment of circumstantial evidence will be sufficient. But their witnesses/evidence has been of, at best, dubious quality.

And, ironically, Mike's overall kookiness over the years almost 'licenses' him to do things that would bring greater scrutiny upon others. Thus, I think its possible the jurors will conclude that Mike is crazy but still be unsure whether he's a willful molester.

Abm:

I'm going to go through this slowly. There is an offense called child abuse. It can be sexual, physical or mental or emotional.

You are fixated on the idea that sleeping with little boys in itself is an innocent activity. All it needs to change this is for the little boy to object to this practice, or say something funny happen, or for his parent or guardian to object to this practice and you continue, and you wind up trying to fight off Big Willie and the boys in the graybar hotel.

THIS, to whoever was wondering how to end child abuse, is why it will never end. If it was Chris Hayden who said he sleeps with little boys, or a stranger, you would tear the house down getting me put away. But somebody comes along who sings or dances or has a little money, and you give him a pass.

Chris,

You've continually skirted the issue of the credibility of the testimony.

Okay. Since you're the one with the law degree, I'll concede to your definition of abuse.

Still, the prosecution has not definitively proven that it occurred. Because that kid could have willingly climbed into the sack with MJ countless times with his parents full knowledge/approval. Then, when it was to their advantage, plead the converse. What do you have left then but to rely upon the relative credibilty of the child/family/others, all of whom either are pissed with Mike or stand to get paid.

PS: Tell the truth: Your main problem with this is you resent not being able to do with MJ gets away with? Hehe!

Kola, You're funny. Kinda.
I've been reading your earlier posts about black and white, black becoming whites, etc. And have come to this conclusion.....
With women like you hating black men and black men hating women like you is it any wonder that blacks are being eliminated? It shouldn't be.

We Africans have a saying:

"If my father dies...I will give birth to him again."

___

I don't hate ALL black men.

But the ones that I do hate....I intend to set in motion their deaths. A lynching, worldwide, of those who have not honored the Goddess Africa.

I, and many other African women, are just beginning to GIVE BIRTH to a "new" son. To bring into being the one who will redeem Africa and the Africa people. The Authentic Black Man.

ONLY WE have that power.

And the revolution will not be televised, because it will take place in the black woman's womb. In the arc of those who are NEVER televised.

Black Nigger Men...will have their heads bashed in by us.

WE WILL KILL THEM and DESTROY THEM and NOT ABIDE THEM.

And neither will the ancestors.

As the great Nigerian Scholar Chinweizu has said:

We must kill the POGO-NIGGER...before we can get to the White and the Caucasoid.

---

Black People HATE Niggers.....and to me, Sidney Poitier, Montel Williams, Clarence Thomas, Michael Jackson, Kofi Annan, Harry Belafonte and O.J.....are niggers.

TO ME.
