WOW!
This is a really great story.
I saw the movie "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" and.....I LOVED IT. It was just so damn good.
But over at my friend Keith Boykin's web site, they have this powerful analysis about how the Black Church is ANTI-GAY....and yet it has virtually made "drag queen" Tyler Perry $100 million rich by supporting his plays and now his movie. Are they hypocrites for this???
I LOVE TYLER PERRY...and I loved the movie, but this story did make me think about a few things. Now here's a link to this Powerful story--you gotta read:

I did not see the movie myself. My mother is a huge fan of Perry's (no relation to me!) plays and my sister told me she loved the movie. But here's another perspective that I cam across. What I don't like is this parading before the cameras talkin' about prosperity and the only people getting rich are the fat-cat preachers. Didn't Jesus say, "Sell ALL you have and follow me"? What happened to storing up treasure in Heaven? Crooks. |
