Hi All

This past Wednesday I had the honor of being present at the State House in Columbus for the signing of Ohio's second ratification of the 14th amendment. Seems that even though Ohio accepted it in 1867 the following year the "democratic party" felt blacks didn't need to be given these privileges so it rescinded it's ratification in 1868. Well, for 135 years it was over-looked, but thanks to seven law students finding the oversight, Sen. Mark Mallory and a host of others, Ohio is now officially ratified once again.

I can't begin to tell you how fortunate I felt having been given the opportunity to witness the signing and transmittal of this ratification. It was thrilling to be apart of such an historical occassion . . . A once in a lifetime moment I will never forget--and I will definetly be holding onto my signed program until ... hmm, let me see...forever!
