I have to write an essay about this next week: Should the African American Literature be seperate at Borders and other book stores?

Are u asking if AA lit. should have its' own section in a book store? Why do YOU use the term apartheid?

Jenny,
I am conflicted on this one. Admittedly, an African American section can appear to be a form of literary segregation, which might unfairly and inaccurately reflect upon the quality of Black writing in those stores. Having a separate classification, however, sure does make it easier to find AA books in those voluminous mega bookstores. Doesn't it?

Well, Miss Jennifer, wonder if the fact that you misspelled the word "separate" reveals something about your subconscious feelings on this subject. LOL. Me, I have no problem with black books having their own domain. It's all about convenience. Later for being politically correct.
