My Wisdom Kola,
You often paint a stark, bleak portrait of the future of black people. And I suppose there are indicators that seem to support your concerns. But I wonder if the strokes of your brush paint to broad a picture.
Could it be that your interpretations of African knowledge & experience coupled with your witnessing the apparent ubiquitous interracial coupling in ultra-liberal California causes your to over-estimated the rate/effects of miscegenation throughout this nation?
And even if what you predict is imminent, even if we are all to be hapless messed in the hereditary soup of our captors, I ask you, what are we to do?
I envy the eloquence with which you recall African lore. I'm sure I am not the only 1 who finds much of what you say to be quite riveting and provocative. However, how are we AA's, most of whom have had NO direct/tangible connection Africa, to embrace beliefs, practices and customs of ancestors 10 - 20 generation prior that we will likely find to be wholly unfamiliar, if not even frightening and loathsome?
And our people are still new to some genuine degree freedom. So how are we to enjoy the liberty of being an individual American yet be held duty-bound to the rigid, often flimsy and conflicting proscriptions of race consciousness and solidarity. I'm not saying we should try to manage this dilemma. I just don't know how we can even begin to do so without futilely trying to force black people to do what they genuinely feel they don't need/want to do.
How can we move beyond the unproductive rancor and rhetoric toward bridging the dives among African people throughout the world? |

ABM....I am not asking you AAs to return to AFRICA or "go back".
What I am asking you to embrace...is Human Nature.
In other words...a REAL MAN gives birth to his own image..no matter where he is. He claims it and promotes it. A REAL WOMAN...loves her children and will cut the sperm out of God's balls to see that they are born.
You came here as Black Africans.
The White Caucasoid Man is TRULY a King, because no matter where he goes in the world...he INSISTS on his own image...he upholds it and forces those around him to respect and admire it. The white man has made the entire world bow down to his White mother.
The Black Americans have not shaken their slave mentality long enough to present themselves as HUMAN BEINGS WHO HAPPEN TO BE BLACK. This is why racism torments them, continuously, and they are the least respected black people on earth. On top of that...they are the only blacks with access to the media...so whatever image they present is the one that the rest of us copy.
In Kenya and Nigeria...the Micheal Jackson "skin lightening pill" (made in Germany) is selling like water! This is the image of "success" that AAs are sending to the rest of us. That in order to be equal...we must BECOME as white as possible. Marry white and love any children but our own.
BUT whenever I make these comments...AAs fail to see that it is my LOVE for them that makes me speak up. If I didn't care, then I would put my nose in the air and say nothing. I would not risk literally being beaten in the mall by Blacks...for trying to remind them that THEY CAME HERE PERFECT ALREADY...they needn't ingest their slavemaster's identity so pathetically.
But if you have been hit on the head and forgotten your real name...then why not allow your own mother to remind you of your name?
You can never return to Africa. Africa, itself, is dying at the hands of the poison left behind by White and Arab Slavery and White and Arab colonialism. The only way to save Africa...is from AMERICA.
The LESS African your blood becomes...the less the world respects you. That's why they encourage you "embrace diversity"--and stop having your own Black children and START having children whose loyalties are more vague..more distant.
But NOTICE...in all this diversity...the White Man NEVER DIES. He stays white and IN CHARGE. And I have to give it to him...he's smarter than the niggers he created.
What is about to happen to Black Americans...has already destroyed and made N. Africa IMPOTENT.
You are weaving a legacy of shame, displacement and utter "nothingness" for your children...who already have very little connection to their identity as it is.
You are not giving birth to your own image.
Bling bling and sleeping with the master's Queen just makes you more of a Bafoon...not more of a man.
This is still...without peer....the White Man's World.

First, I think you need to take a trip to the heartland of the US, Ko Bo. Because you appear to be grossly overestimating the rate of miscegenation throughout the country. What occurs out there where you are in Blond hair-Blue eyed fairytale LALA Land does not necessarily hold true for how most of us are living east of the San Andreas Faultline. Nationally, less than 10% of black men marry non-black women. And a high % of them is brothers in the military who typically spend more time among non-blacks than do most brothahs. So, it is unfair of you to attribute the assorted racial pathologies that you so frequently do to all of us.
It's poignantly ironic that you can be so hypercritical of us AA's when it is (as you freely admit) because of us that you enjoy the very protection from those who would try to claim a fatwa on your life.
Black folks can't control what and how Michael Jackson, Tiger Wood, Halle Berry, Lena Horne, et al. are being marketed to the world. Most black people I know are nearly as appalled by the behavior/statements of Jackson/Wood as you appear to be. But what should we do? Kidnap them, tie them up with Kinte cloths and stab them with authentic Zulu spears? Come on.
Besides, the chickens are coming home to rooster for Jackson. With his troubled finances, lingering questions about pedophilia and his incredible melting face, the African world (and everybody else) is learning what happens when one tries to deny what he or she is. Tiger's gonna get his too if he truly believes that "caublasian" swill he's dealin. He is 1 domestic incident with a blond from going from going from being Nike's crown jewel to being quickly relegated to OJ Land.
And don't get me started on Africa.
Black folks in America, though troubled we may be, are much more faithful to and protective of each other than our African brothahs/sistahs have ever been. You guys are so embroiled in tribal disputes, so corrupted by greed and drunk with petty power, the whole continent seems irreconcilable. Heck, it was many of you folks who sold us out to the European to begin with.
This is my (dark) fantasy of what needs to happen in Africa...
Units/companies of the US/Britains most elite Military Forces would gather the Heads of all the African Nation (with maybe a few exceptions), their immediate/extended families, & close personal friends/colleagues all kill them all. This would be aired on every form of media/broadcasting throughout the continent. And the same should be done to Head's archrivals. Then the Forces should round up all the continent tribal chieftains via current African national boundaries and hand to them the following: The US Constitution, Adam Smith's "The Wealth of Nations", a detailed description of the Scientific Method and the Holy Bible. The chieftain would be commanded to rigorously abide the prescriptions of those texts. And the Forces would tell them that they have 5 years to adequately implement what is outline in those books. If the Chieftains fail do as order, the Forces would later return do to them what had been visited upon their predecessors. Then ALL of the Forces would quickly leave the continent.
PS: Its funny you mentioned Africans seeking skin lighteners. One my dearest friends is in the skin care business. Recently, she told me she regularly receive requests from African business people to supply them harmful/cancer-causing dermal bleaches. She always tells them of all the dangers of those chemicals. But all they say is "I don't cair. You have gottu give dah peoples what dey want." With her contacts, she could easily make a fortune selling that crap to Africans but she refuses to. |

British American and other European domination of African affairs is a big cause for much of the trouble that is happening. National boundaries were drawn by the colonial powers without regard to ethnic patterns-tribes that were enemies were thrown together in the same nations--made it easier for the colonials to rule them if they were at each other's throat.
Look at the post colonial meddling in Ghana, the Congo--look at U.S. client Mobutu, look at the British Creation Idi Amin, look at what the U.S. wrought in Angola, U.S. golden boy Jonas Savimbi.
For the application of wonderful American principles go to Liberia, founded by ex-slaves from the United States who treated the indigenous people like trash until they rose up and slaughtered them all in the 70's and 80's--basically as a fiefdom for rubber companies. You could also go to South Africa where the Aparthied system was modelled on the system of Aparthied in the American South--those folks must be left alone to solve their own problems, and if you think the whiteman has all the answers, look at the former Yugoslavia, Northern Ireland and Israel. Look at what is going on now in Iraq. |
