Hey Chris,
What this article revealed is really kinda scarey. This country is being run by a handful of men who are not only nefarious but inept. And with this latest expose about the "Saving of Pvt Lynch" being exposed as a staged event, it just goes to show how the America public is being manipulated, and all of these "patriotic" fools are nothing but pawns of Rumsfeld, and company. (Bush is a pawn also but he's too stupid to know it.)

Cynique:

Yeah he's just having a ball allright. Reporters say he makes the Dr. Evil sign to people and grins. I wonder if he will be laughing long.

Here's a thought for you. If our troops out in the field cannot find any of those touted weapons of mass destruction--you know, the ones we just went over and kicked Iraq's butt over--I propose that the President, the Vice President, the Cabinet, and everyone in Congress be tried as war criminals and traitors. The President lied to us and Congress willingly forfeited their power to stop this madness.

You know, I don't support the death penalty in the majority of cases, but this might be the perfect opportunity to show the public how our tax dollars really work. Picture this: The RCA Dome in Indianapolis (the closest big stadium I could think of near Terre Haute) filled with thousands of hard-working Americans--people who have lost family and friends in the most unnecessary military action in this country's history AND who will spend generations paying for it--watching with a macabre mix of shame, pity, sorrow, delight, and vindication as the President, his Vice President, his Cabinet, and every member of Congress is hung by the people whose necks have really been put on the line.

I'm afraid not, Chris...I've been against this war from the beginning. If the war had truly been about retribution for 9/11, I wouldn't have had any problem with it...But we know the war is about nothing but payback for Old Man Bush's inability to deal with Saddam properly the first time and, of course, controlling the flow of oil in the Middle East...

Well, Clax, needless to say I count myself among your exclusive club. The thing that is so frustrating is that the majority of the American people and the entire media go along with Bush and his charades. The only weapons of mass destructions that ever existed are the lies that shot out of the mouths of the Administation's war hawks.

Cynique, I'm inclined to agree with you on this...Understanding who the majority is in America, it's really no surprise that Bush is getting this kind of support...It'd be real interesting, though, if it were President Clinton or another Democrat prosecuting this war...I wonder if white Americans would rally that hard then...

Of course, it's also said that what goes around comes around...Don't be surprised if, in the very near future, we hear about an Iraqi-based cell that decides they want to vindicate their nation by attacking another American institution. We're perilously close to being a police state as it is (can you say Patriot Act). Such an attack would virtually nullify the Constitution.
