Wow!!! I went early to vote, I was there at 6:30 when it opened!! The line was LOOOOOOOOOOOOONg and I was smiling!
That means we are ROCKING the vote like mad! A lot of people my age were there (even some dudes with doo rags on they heads!) Yiah Baybee!! We are doing it yall!
Three people got challenged while I was there, but don't worry (in Ohio at least) if you are challenged, you STILL have the right to vote. You have to vote provisionally. And I found out that provisional ballots (in my precinct anyways) are the only ballots that will use punch cards (those that produce the infamous hanging chads, and pregnant chads!) the rest of us voted electonically!

I got out early like you A_womon...tried to arrive by the time the polls opened and voted in about 1.5 hours (which was very good indeed). The line was long and continued to grow as we waited. People who's name was not on the list were allowed to use provisional ballots. There were very few pollworkers so things inside went pretty slow with only one person handing out the voting cards, but overall it was all good and well worth it, plus i really enjoyed meeting and talking with people while waiting in line...it's funny, we all seemed so happy to be there, I just hope we aren't disappointed. And yes, I was hearing about Ohio woes this morning....i hope that doesn't stop anyone from voting.

Hey Sisg,
I think they are mostly targeting people who are afraid or not used to questioning authority, like the elderly who may unfortunately, have to be there by themselves. Overall, it is like you say here, people are now (its about 4pm) are having a 3 hour wait, and it is raining, but people are still voting!! So Im only a little ticked that they are still trying to be shady in this republican state!!

That was so sweet of you...I never thought i was missed, but thanks, i'm am always around girl, believe it or not, i'm just as addicted as the rest of you...i wish i wasn't cuz i can't finish up my writing projects (lol). But thanks again.

I went to the polls in mid-morning. Not crowded, but a steady stream of people coming and going. I found it really funny that there was not one Republican sign anywhere. They were all for Kerry and Edwards and the local Democrats. Even the people distributing literature were handing out nothing but Democratic stuff. Of course, my polling place is in an all-black neighborhood.
