When I heard about the satellite recovery scheme I could not believe my ears--they were going to pluck it from the sky in a helicopter flown by Hollywood stuntmen--???
Is this some crazy shee, or is it just me?
I suppose it is too much to ask that somebody get fired over this--after all they are just wasting up our money, and they can print more, huh?
Two things--
This is a bad omen (remember what happened right after the last subtle disaster, the breakup of the Columbia over Palestine, Texas?)
And whatever was supposed to be hermetically sealed inside it has probably got out. |

I would attempt to provide a sage response to what you list above. But I now find myself laughing so hysterically at the imagery you've planted in my mind, I can hardly see straight.

Reminds me of the joke about the 2-wanna-be astronauts who when they decided to shoot for the sun, and were told that they would be blinded, they responded by saying this wouldn't be a problem because they would go at night. That's about the mentality of those keystone kops at NASA. What a waste of the tax-payers money! Space:the next frontier. Spacey:how to describe the people in charge of going there. |

Why do I think they are going crack that thing up and those things that Sijourney Weaver was tussling with in the Alien movies is going to pounce out on'em?

Theives, common theives, the bunch of them should be hung from the highest tree. People "down here" starving and them damn fools are playing Pin The Donkey with MY money. I'd like to Bitch Slap the lot of them. Makes me sick thinking about it. They got the nerve to be clowning around on some funky S&&t like that and some schools can't hire a decent staff or purchase enough equipment/supply to do their jobs correctly. We can't find a cure for serious illness yet we can play "catch a fly on a star". What kind of S&&t is that. Booooy, Sam strong. |

Well, I guess I posted that info a day or so ago when I'm pretty sure I heard them saying on CNN cable news that the capsule was finally retrieved, almost much in tact. I don't know whether that meant the data was preserved, though. (Doesn't it seem like the little capsule should've been like an airplane's black box, making it able to survive a crash???) |

It would seem so, unless you were expecting a death defying Hollywood stuntman to fly up in a helicopter and snatch it, or, if he missed, that the parachute (which did not open) would cushion the blow. |

Sorry. But I don't believe for a second that nabbed that satellite. And any pictures that show that say otherwise probably were digitally created.
That thing is still floating around up there. Somewhere. The next time you see a so-called 'shooting star', that'll be it.
And with my luck, part of it'll crash land in my wife's flower bed for me to haftah clean up and replant. |
