Has anyone enrolled in or completed a graduate MFA program in creative writing? I am thinking about applying to one, so I wanted to know if anyone could share their experiences and/or give advice when it comes to being a minority in such a program.

I've never went to school, I wish I had.

But you should write an email to writer Marita Golden (you can get the address at her web site)---she runs the Wright/Hurston Foundation---and she might just write you back and give you pertinent information on how you can go about this and with Black Mentors.

Good luck.
