Have any of you observed the hubbub sounding Serena Williams' garb as she currently performs in Pro Tennis' 2004 US Open? She's currently working a daring femme commando slash Serena the Warrior Princess ensemble that has got Tennis' uppity foks in a tizzy (The gym shoe-boots combo she's wearing would make a Nazi Storm Trooper blush with pride.). Serena body is so startling beautiful yet powerful, it has got to be both off-putting and yet thrilling for a lot of (especially White) foks to witness her in action. (~"See what I mean. Look at how her skirt rides up her butt? I told you 'they' should never have been allowed on the tour...D@#N!...Did you SEE her service return? <exuberantclapping> I wish those foks would hurry and sit down. There're blocking my view."~). I mean, you'd gottah figure if there were indeed a "Superwoman", even she'd feel slightly intimidated by measuring her stats up next to Serena. And her being quite inclined to call attention to that wondrous bodice of her make her all the more compelling to behold. Serena has become sort of the new Andrea ("Image is everything") Agassi, though her game (and, of course, looks) is even better than Tennis' aging cover boy. It never ceases to amaze me how obsessed we all are with how women look and what they wear. It is as if we all enjoy making women into show ponies for our viewing and entertainment pleasure. Chris, Thanks. I was justabout to post an update. Yeah. Even the Black Supergirl has her Kryptonite...they call it "the White Umpire". Well, at least she lost to Jennifer Capriati, who's paid her dues (and then some). GOD. I'd HATE to see her go down to ("go down 'on'", sure) one of those pubescient, can't-even-speak-English Russians. And even Serena admits she played badly sans the ref calls (she had over 2X # of unforced errors as she did winners...just a little spiel for tennis nerds like Yours Truly). Plus, she really seem to let her anger get the better of her, to which a mature and savvy Capriati was most apt to take advantage of. So let that be a lesson to the A_womon’s of the world, no matter how talented you are, if you can’t control your emotions and temper, some calmer White girl is going to slide right down into your grove and take your $#@+. Yukio is a bit of an enigma to me. Because, sometimes, I think I expect him to be "Black" in a way that does not appear to be native to him. See. I was raised playin' the dozens. NO. Because those WHITE WOMEN at NOW (and the few black women members they have) had the nerve to disrespect my cultural beliefs and MY HUMANITY by saying that I was setting women back by posing topless on my books and by creating an image that "titilates" men and encourages the objectification of women. And black women INVENTED feminism/womanism in Africa before the rest of the world even existed. The Oromo tribe is one of the oldest peoples on earth to have a "women's government" and "women's leader" within the tribe that does NOT answer to the male hierachy and that governs nad penalizes the women, separate from the men---this is because the Oromo were originally two separate tribes--one comprised of ALL MEN...and another comprised of ALL WOMEN. They joined forces thousands of years ago to create ONE TRIBE. It was ancient African women who had to assert "feminist action" to STOP the practice of the "wife" being burried alive with her husband when he dies. Remember that? One serious question, though, ABM. Why is it that people think that a woman has to give up her femininity and stop enjoying this "sexual tension" that we have with men just because she embraces womanism or feminism??? I find it so perplexing that so many of these feminists remind me of women suffering from Post Partum Depression. They act like I can't laugh and wiggle my butt at a guy or enjoy dressing up and smelling good and cooking my man a nice dinner while chatting about the politics of the day. Granted, men should be taught and FORCED to behave---but we should also be allowed that "chemistry" that comes naturally between the sexes. I don't understand the concept that women aren't supposed to enjoy their SEN-suality and find humor in the funny innocence that men have when they're struggling to understanding us. Why can't we have a public figure who's a Feminist thinker and still LOOOVES Men and enjoys her sexuality and understands that THAT is part of her power in the society?? I think today’s man, especially born after the Eisenhower administration are growing more appreciative of the non-sexual aspects of women. Yeah. I might want to nail a chick.
