Hey! Anybody heard about this sistah who apparently was SO obsessed with (White) actor Micheal Douglas ("I'm not going to be IGNORED!") that she threaten to kill his wife (the 'saucy') Catherine Zeta-Jones. Chick was apparently so crazed (and yet clever) that she even sent threats to 'off' Jones to Mike's legendary pops Kurt and she even knew enuff about Mike dealings to meet him several times in person.
Apparently, Jones' became so distraught by the sistah's threats that she started taking anti-depressants and refused to leave their home.
Worse yet, I recall reading the sistah otherwise has a decent background. I believe she is(or was) a pyschologist or something.
JEEZ! Are some of us Black foks becoming as bizarre as many White people? |

Yeah, I didn't know she was a sister until the other day when they showed her in court...I was laughin cause she had long extensions just like Catherine's...
What she would want with Michael's ass is beyond me....I could see if she were after Jennifer Aniston...LOL! |

You shouldn't post that here. Cynique's case is still pending and any comments we make here about her always having this obsession for Douglass and saying she was going to kill Zeta Jones and buying a ticket out there could harm her chances in court.

I doubt that advances for Street Lit will differ substantially from that of any other books. If the author is a relative unknown and/or the publisher is small, the advance is likely to be minimal. But if the author has a history of solid/strong sales from her(his) prior work, she(he) will likely be able to demand an advance equivalent to that garnered by authors of other genre's who books enjoy similar sales value.
And, of course, one's ability to negotiate and/or acquire the benefit of a good agent can substantially affect what is advanced to the author. |
