Tee Royal may want to add what she knows to this tasty bit of TRUE gossip:
A White Woman in California has filed a lawsuit against Kola Boof--and this is all over the radio in L.A.--claiming that the "plot line" in Kola's new novel "Flesh and the Devil" is actually about real life events between her and Kola.
It seems that Kola's hubby, man, whatever--was living with this White Woman 8 years ago when Kola Boof met him and stole him from her. The guy Thomas and Kola went on to have 2 babies and live together (marry?) and been together ever since.
In "Flesh and the Devil", the mental patient and leading lady RooAmber Childress steals Shane Roberts from his EVIL white wife, Rosaria.
Notice--Kola Boof recently said in Africana review that she was in psychiatric treatment most of her childhood.
The White lady (Kendra Welles) claims Kola based the character Rosaria on her and portrayed her as an amoral, evil white goon.
The white lady claims that Thomas property belonging to her and used the funds to purchase a luxury car for Kola Boof and that they maliciously wrote the book to defame her.
NOW that's some good gossip.

OK, I Cannot resist:
Isn't it suspicious how Kola gets a total stranger at a radio station to finance the publication of not one---but 3 BOOKS!! all 3 released in just 4 months time, then he agrees to publishes her friends and also foots the bill for a book tour that will require huge squads of Guards????
Forget Kola. I want to interview hubby Thomas, Cornel Chesney and Osama Bin Laden regarding this woman!!
What has SHE got?

Carey, this is exactly why the other board should allow EVERYONE to add, dispute, chat about the gossip posted.
Think about THAT.
Now my gossip is actual and factual, my brother.
I got mines from the very news report of the radio station that our illustrious Miss Ross....OOOOOPS...I meant KB was discovered by CC.
I aint'against the gossip. I'm against people not being allowed to respond and so forth. That stinks and it takes away the fun. Not ot mention Liberti don't seem to have good sources.

Maybe that's why Liberti didn't post nothing yet, because the glitch isnt fixed. She probably want to wait til we can reply to her gossip.
I have to tell you. I LOOOOOOVE me some good gossip, so I hope she got some juicy stuff.

Hmmm, interesting. I'm not sure why my name is coming up in a "gossip" thread as I try to stay away from things like this that breed of negativity. Gossip really isn't my style, especially in a public forum.
Sunshine, I'm not sure who you are, but feel free to email me at tee@rawsistaz.com. I do know that there aren't many folks that simply say "Tee Royal" so you kinda showed all your cards on that one. I don't appreciate my name being included in this thread, nor do I know anything about Kola's book or these allegations. I haven't read any of them, nor do I keep up with gossip of this nature, it simply doesn't interest me and IMO doesn't do anything but hurt the literary community. Do we really need that?
I'm merely a person who promotes and supports African-American authors, so I'm afraid you're looking at the wrong person in support on this one.
If you need a good book recommendation or info on an author, then feel free to call on me, as I can probably help you out in that area.
