Kwame was out for Omarosa. Omarosa was out for herself.

Well, this would only be of relevance/interest to those people who have watch NBC’s highly rated "The Apprentice". The show involved famed Billionaire Donald Trump selecting, from among 16 highly qualified candidate, someone to run one of his companies. Until last nite, there were only two Apprentice nominees left. One of the nominees was the Black Harvard-educated Kwame Jackson.

Kwame was past over for the gig.

What I suggested in my original post was that it appears Kwame was not selected to be Trump’s apprentice because he continued to support the self-serving, irascible, BAPish, diva-run-amok, publicity ho’ fellow Black sistah Omarosa.

Though, apparently a bright/talented woman, Omarosa had been a prime source of consternation on the show. And it seemed clear to most who watched "Apprentice", Omarosa was more obliged to attend her many frivolous idiosyncrasies and to raise her personal Q-rating than she was to promote the mutual interests of Kwame's and the other apprentices team members.

But this is TV. The other guy, Bill, apparently had more practical business experience than Kwame. And, to state the obvious: Bill is white and Kwame is Black. So maybe Kwame never had a chance to begin with. Actually, maybe Omarosa was a willing/convenient foil to use to disqualify Kwame.

Still, I think Trump should have selected Kwame because he seems to be of better executive timber than Bill, who seems to be more entrepreneurial in nature. I suspect Bill’s character will soon clash with or become overwhelmed by that of Trump’s "I-Am-King" style; while Kwame’s calm, cool demeanor might better compliment Trump’s bravado and gaudy flare.

BTW: Kc_trudiva, you should know by now that I am ALWAYS "trying to bring attention" to myself.

Kwame didn't have the cut-throat mentality, or the killer instinct. He stuck with Omarosa because he didn't want it to appear that he was disloyal to his race by abandoning a black sista. He was more concerned about image, than takin care of business - in my opinion.

@ABM; I surprsingly enough agree with every point you made up there. Did I expect Kwame to win it? Naw; no more than I expect a sistah to be one of Tyra's America's Next Top Models. It IS reality TV; the reality of Amerikkka! LOL

Charge it to my old skool way of thinking; but Omarosa's deadly deeds are even more of the stereotype . . .let the Black woman kill off the Black man?????

But I think that Kwame will do well and move on to the next level due to all the publicity of his involvement in The Apprentice.

I am proud to say I did not watch one second of that show--I have gotten a lot of entertainment watching the teethgnashing anguish of those who did--kind of like going to a wrestling match--most of the action is in the stands!

Abm,

I think Kwame failed to see that Omarosa might have had a grudge against him for bringing her into the boardroom which ultimately lead to her being fired. I believe the simple fact that Kwame didn't at least put Omarosa in her place after it was made known to him that she deliberately held back information in regards to Jessica's transportation portrayed him as being weak and not assertive. He might not have known that he could have fired her, but he definitely had the right to check her.

But I also believe that Omarosa has something on Donald for getting hit in the head. If you remember when he briefly spoke to her at the end and she made the comment about being fired, hired, fired and then hired, Donald then asked the question if they were straight or if things between them were straight or something like that. So why should she care if Kwame lost, because overall she did. He should have never picked her.

And I agree with you I don't think Bill is going to make it, but then again most white people aren't as qualified as blacks and they still hold onto their 6+ figure position because some other white colleague is willing to overlook their inepts, but the second a black person makes a mistake or the wrong decision then they're out the door, just like Kwame. And keep in mind the rating. Think of all the black viewers who watched supporting Kwame. The ultimate race card!!!!!! I wouldn't be surprised if the next time Donald hires someone of color.

omarosa. i'm wondering if she was paid to act like; it was just unbelievable how backstabbing she was with all her tactics. kwame supported her in all her stupid rantings the entire time she remained on the show and, to me, his taking her to the boardroom was the last straw with her. i actually cringed when kwame chose her to be on his team...and then along came heidi (i guess that's her name). a recipe for disaster.

did anyone catch the Dateline special showing The Apprentice audition tapes (and interviews) on Wednesday?

abm: i was well aware that your statement was in reference to "The Apprentice" as i noted in the post. i just wanted to hear you rant. ahaha

Kc_trudiva, I had considered the possibility of her being a plant. But how much money could she have gotten to act like THAT? Also, I read that she briefly worked for the Clinton Administration. She was apparently so divisive that she had 4 jobs within less than 2 years. So, apparently, what we saw of Omarosa is authentic. So why she was picked to appear on the show is beyond me.

Eviana,
I understand Kwame wanting to look out for a sistah. What true brothaman wants to see a sistah getting dumped on by a bunch of @#$%'s (Well, you know what I mean.) But that Omarosa was wholly beyond the pail.

Still, I almost feel sorry for Omarosa, because she seems as though she can’t help herself. It’s like she’s psychotically delusional or something. Although, she did not help the already battered image of Black women. For that reason, many will consider her an anathema.

So you think she’s wield the headbumping thing over Trump, huh? Hmmmmm? Could be. After all, it would appear to qualify as an actionable ‘workplace’ incident.

You maybe right about the next "Apprentice" winner possibly being Black, though not because of who views the show. Trump seems to enjoy cozy relationships with many Black celebrities. He obviously liked/respected Kwame. And he seems to have more a connection with him than he did with the triumphant Bill.

Also, Trump respects people who hustle. And NO ONE will be made to hustle to more than a successful Black person.

But I agree, Trump, perhaps rightly so, perceived Kwame lack the necessary killer instinct to compete in the cut-throat entertainment sector. Maybe Trump feared that if he hired the appeasing Kwame, "Omarosa", not Trump, would reign atop that luxury hotel he’s building in Chi-Town.

BTW: Kc_trudiva, we both know the KINDS of things that YOU can do to REALLY make a brothah rant and scream.

Chris,
I am sorry. I tried not to watch it for the same reasons/sentiment you express. But my wife kept badgering me about it (It was either that or clean the garage...So I opted for boob tube.). Then, like after a few hits of crack...I was hooked!

Bookgirl,
CONGRATULATIONS!

Perhaps now that you "...surprsingly enough agree with every point [I} made" on this subject means that you are now prepared to ascend to a dimension of place/time/discovery of which few other mortals hath even dare to behold. HAHA!

That's a cute little diddy, Abm.
You got these pussycats fighting over you in here.
So I won't go there.

As far as Omarosa is concerned, I'd bet a dollar that she was a mole. She was doing too many things to sabotage progress. Not only with Kwame, but before, also. That whole 'hit in the head' thing was bullshet...(that may be spelled wrong).
Kwame should have kicked that sistah to the curb!

CH>>>I didn't want to watch the show either. I was channel surfing one night and caught a glimpse of Omarosa in one of those little business skirts. I love black women. All kinds, red, tan, blacker-than-charcoal, it don't matter.
Anyway, I decided to find out what was going on and Kwame was selling basketballs with his autograph on them like they were going out of style. I was like, "Who the hell is Kwame Jackson?"...After that, like everybody's favorite crackhead, Abm, I was hooked. It turned out to be pretty interesting stuff.

Lambd,
Thanks for the props. But you’ll pardon me if I sidestep your ‘pussycats’ comment. Because I could get barred from Thumper’s Corner for how I am inclined to respond to THAT. Don’t worry, though. All I’ve gottah do is stroke Passion’s ‘back’ and ‘fur’ a bit and that kitty will simmer right on down.

Unlike you, I wasn’t too taken by Omarosa. Don’t get me wrong. She can work a low-cut business suit sumthin’ fierce. But, I don’t know, to me, she seemed to have the aura of an uppity drag queen.

BTW: Don’t you think Kwame was getting ‘righteous’ with Omarosa? Because why else would he have tolerated her insufferable crap?

She wasn't that attractive. I was intrigued by her legs and imagining what she could do with those lips. Uppity drag queen? You kill me, dude.

As far as Kwame getting 'righteous', I don't think he was hitting it. I think he was trying to save face like C-neek said.

I'm sorry, but that Uppity Drag Queen thing is f***ing me up! That's some funny s&**! Omarosa aint one of them DL brothers is she? I guess that would put Kwame on that same tip, huh?
